I am three weeks and one day out. I haven't lost a pound since last Monday. No cheating. And very little eating. Lots of Water. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I was eating and not losing. But very little food and still no weight loss is frustrating!!!!! Is anyone else going thru this or been thru this??

Everyone. The week 3 stall is very common. If you use the search function at the top and put in 3 week stall, you will get a whole lot of tips on how to break out of it. Basically your body has adjusted to the the decrease in calories and is going into starvation mode. There are several techniques on how to break the stall. You'll have to find the one that works the best for your situation.

What is your caloric intake? Carb intake? You may actually have to increase them. Are you walking/ excersising?

First. Deep breath. It is said a million times here about jury etc. it takes time. I don't know about you but I couldn't loose the weight before with minimal cals and lots of Water. Give your body a min. It WILL happen. In the meantime, enjoy that feeling of eating so little without HUNGER!

Most people have been through the exact same thing. Everyone who goes through it, thinks that they will be the one whose weight loss has stopped at 3 weeks and it isn't a stall.

Stick with the program. You're going to lose a ton of weight!

Yes i also had a stall i was told to increase my meals.so i set the timer, every two hours to remind my self to eat, even if i'm not hungry, and also you could be losing inches that wil not show on the scale, and when i increase my meals i notice the scale is moving so be encourage,it will start moving again.and also i was told to not get on the scale everyday,i know it's hard :).

I'm in the same boat. Reading the replies makes me feel better but I still have that little kernel of worry on back of my head thinking what if I'm the one it won't work on. Just need to see the scale move down again and it will put me at ease.

I was getting frustrated as well. Surgery date was 2/28, the 1st 2 weeks I lost about 18 lbs but the scale keeps jumping back and forth. Grrr.

Last night I was looking for clothes for work and decided to fit some clothes, clothes I haven't worn in a year. Either they were to small or I looked like a pregnant pig. All the clothes fit, with some room to spare, not much but room. Some couldn't button; some the button were being strAngled.

This makes me feel okay about the stall. I can stall as long as I see results.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
