My PCP said that wasn't normal I do have a appointment coming up soon for tests and exam to get to the bottom of that. Someone told me I may have to have my lining removed I don't know how true that is or not until the doctor gives me her opinion.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I also had to have a hysterectomy this year. Did you have your cervix removed as well or did they leave it? I ask because if they leave it, one of the downfalls of that can be that sometimes women can experience some light monthly bleeding still. However if it was removed and you are still experiencing bleeding, that is really concerning! :-/ I had to have everything removed but my ovaries so luckily I am done with all of that! You are definitely in my prayers as they figure out what's going on with all that as well!! Sounds like there may be something medically going on and maybe that could be interfering with your weight loss! Maybe when you resolve one, you will resolve the other!!

I think all the information you are providing will REALLY help the vets to give you some insight into what's going on! They are wonderful and with the right info I swear they are better than a team of doctors!! I would try maybe posting your story on the veterans forum in the form of:

"My weight was X when I was sleeved X years ago. My daily intake is roughly X. With X Protein and X carbs. I drink X amount of Water. I exercise X amount weekly. (Add in other pertinent info of course) I have only lost x pounds. I am looking for some insight on what dietary or exercise routine changes I could make to jump start my weight loss. What has worked for you?"

I have found (in my early experiences here) that the more info you provide up front, the more answers and help you can get!! But there is SO much help to be found!!! And SO much hope to be had still!!! :)

And maybe if I had waited 10 minutes for you to respond, I would have seen that you had plenty of responses to give!! ;) Good luck you. I really have been in your shoes before with another WLS and I understand your frustration and pain first hand!! You are in my prayers, and I look forward to watching you progress. I know you can!! It's not too late to use all the help here and make this work!! :)

All my love!!!

Thank you so much, I wish I would have found this site a long time ago it would have really helped me emotionally on this roller coaster however, it's never to late to open up to others I just have a big fear of being judged negatively and that's what was happening on fb you have no idea how many nights I went to bed crying those women were brutal.

That just breaks my heart, having been there, I really do understand. But you're right. It is far from too late!! You are here and nowhere is immune from all negativity but overall, everyone here is such a wealth of knowledge. Some will hold your hand and some will kick your a$$ lol but everyone is trying to help!! Seek them out and open up and you really may find that they have more answers than your doctors!! They're pretty awesome!! I'm so glad you're here. I'm excited to watch your journey and I'm here if you just want to vent to someone who's been there!! :) You can do this!!!

This too is my fear, however if we give into our fears we will not reah our goals....Hang in there!!!

I would check my thyroid as well.....and increase Protein ...need to get in fat burning mode (protein does this) you know what to do....

My friend is 4 years out lost over 100 lbs...now gaining...she just started a strict diet and is losing like mad now....stick with it...we are all different body types....so lose faster than others...keep the faith!!!

Remember STRESS holds on to weight and ^ cortisol levels....

Please, have no fear. I believe fear kept me from achieving my goals and living through others continue to be positive and uplifted in your journey. I had to learn and accept reality for what it was and that was...my journey came and gone. I had to stop weighing daily and looking to everyone else's success and relying on it. I still love to encourage others and that maybe my calling just don't give up. My calorie intake daily is between 1,500-1,900

That calorie intake seems high. If you want to lose weight rule of thumb is 500 calories less per day either reduced by exercise or through reduced intake per 1 lb per week. I hope that helps! Good luck!

5oo is good for someone newly out of surgery.

But I think being a year out around 1000 is a more realistic goal?

I think she meant 500 less than what you eat to maintain

Yes, 1000 is realistic for post 6 months.

I agree to maintain at the weight, probably 1000 would be realistic. Yes, Dani was correct I meant a reduction of 500 calories per day will allow for 1 lb per week. lol! Then remember muscle adds a little weight but burns calories!!!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
