24 hours ago i was sleeved

Yesterday I was sleeved. Last night was rough. The liquid pain meds made me dry heave. So I mixed a bit with Water and sipped that. I have been taking tiny sips of water. Apple juice made me sick. I'm sipping Gatorade & in about an hour I'll try Soup broth.

My pain is manageable even without taking the full dose of meds. I've been up and walking. I just had a shower (I have to use dial soap) last night I woke up every 2 hours to pee and walk. Hopefully tonight I can sleep longer.

Congrats on your surgery. The first few weeks will be the hardest. You'll find your pain gets better each day, and pretty soon this part will all be a memory.

I hope it gets better for you!! I'm glad you posted, I have been looking for posts 24 hr after surgery to prepare myself!!

It's honestly not that bad. It's more of an entire torso pain than incision pain. It's like when you're sick & cough until your ribs hurt.

A couple times I swallowed to quickly and instantly felt nauseated. The dr wants me to drink 2oz every few hours but I'm managing about an oz.

good luck!!

Thanks and you as well :)

I am 4 wks out. The first few days are the worse. It does get better everyday. I was only nauseated 3 times. the first was when they gave the the liquid pain meds. 2nd was when I tried beef broth( will never try again) and 3rd time was on the way home ( I think I got car sick) I wet my face and dosed off till I got home, about a hour ride. I have a full prescription of anti nausea meds I have never even opened. Good luck with your journey! Happy sleeving:)

You are doing great!!! Walking makes a lot of difference You are on your way to a better life. It gets better from here on out. Good luck to you
