My surgery is 3/18 and my husband will take me to the hospital which is 10 min from our house. We do not have family near us and have a 3 and a 6 year old. Both girls are in full time school/daycare during the week. I was thinking of having my kids spend the first night at a friends house. After that my husband would have to be home in the afternoon and nights/ morn I'd be on my own. I think this is fine because the nurses are there. What support did you have? I would also like to hear about if you we're able to care for yourself when you got home. I want it to be as prepared as I can be and know everyone is different. Thank you and I am so grateful for this group!

I have 5 kids, ages 10,9,4,2&1, the help from my mom and dad while my husband was working was wonderful. I was exhausted and had to focus on getting Water in, my kids needed more attention then I could give for the first week home.

I didn't need help taking care of me, just my brood
