January Bandsters???

Olga,

Great job. I am shaking my head in amazement. Your ticker says 195 and you're wearing a 10-12. Back in the day, I think when I was 120 (I might have been about 12 years old!!) that was when I could wear a 12. A few years ago...1996 or so, I did the phen/fen thing and got down to about 189 or something like that. I wore a size 16. Sizes are so confusing!!

It's AMAZING! Sometimes I don't even believe it!!! I'm in love though!!! With my band, my new lifestyle and myself!!! My family thinks I'm nuts cause it's all I talk about....I have a few friends that have watched my success and have decided to go through with it!!! Yeah..sizes are weird...I also think the brands have alot to do with it...I know that at Fashion Bug I can wear some 8/10... Apple Bottoms I wear a 10/12..... and then some generic brands from AJ Wright I wear 10/12...

Hey Audree, it's Debbie you look great! It's nice to see how everyone is doing. Hope you do well with your fill, I'm hoping my restriction stays a while this time. I think when I am doing well with my exercise it also helps me not be as hungery. Sometimes I think the hunger is in my mind, I guess that just takes a while to overcome. Nice to talk to you. Good luck!

Hey Debi!

Didn't we get our surgury on Jan 5th. I noticed our dates were different that is why I didn't know if it was you or not.

My fill went good. I am definitely experiencing restriction.

Keep in touch!!!

Hello all! It's been a while, I know.... I've been super busy with work, kids, and my band. It's so god to hear all your positives and I'm sorry for all your negatives. It's a learning expereince...I've come to embrace my band and I don't know why didn't do this sooner. I've had my ups and downs. I have a masters in PB's and a Doctorate in Slimming...Chewing is my middle name!!! I'm in ONEDERLAND though, and that has made me one happy girl! NSV's - I wear my wedding band from 12 years ago, I wear a size 10-12 now, and I LOVE to take pictures of myself!!!! So, yes I'm happy, I love my band, and I'm back for support! I've missed you guys!!!! So, keep me psoted and I'll try to do the same!!!!

Love and Blessings,

Olga

He Bandida!!! You look great!! Good to see you back. I actually started back here about a week or so ago. I am on fill #3 and hope this is my sweet spot. I am at 3 cc's in a 4 cc band. I definitely have restriction now. I couldn't get cold Water down this morning which is what I normally do, had to have warm tea. Then I had some Soup with crab pieces for lunch and had to really chew. Almost got stuck once and I am feeling very satisfied and full with that. I was normally pigging out all day.

Keep in touch!

Hey Olga!

So by saying you are in Onderland, do you mean you hit your "sweet spot"?

I am just wondering with this kind of fill if I will start to lose again. Sometimes I feel like I never will lose the rest of the weight, but with the band I know this is all new territory for me. Not like previous diets. I don't feel hungry and that is new to me, well since right after surgury.

What do you eat in a day?

Audree

hey Audree, Good to hear from you! So, I wasn't the only the one who was missing in action...haha..Wow! I have 2.65 cc's in my 4cc band. I can say I have pretty good restriction..Not so much that I can't drink but enough so that I'm not over eating...My MD has me on only three meals a day and that is enough.. Sometimes I only have 2.

Onederland is when you are in the 100's (poundswise) Sweet spot...I'm not sure I've found it...I can be really hungry today and tomorrow I won't be able to eat much...My weight has kinda plateaude but I haven't been doing my excercises like I was before...I think the last few pounds are the hardest to drop. I know I'm having a hell of a time now...

Hey Audree,

I had my surgery on the 8th, so it may have been a different Debbie. Do you know where she was from? I'm from Nashville, TN. Anyway glad your feeling restriction, I am too, I think for the first time. Talk to you later.

Hi there to all! I have been so busy this summer. Sorry for not checking in. Thanks Sunshine for PMing me. I have not been a very good bandster. I have lost some weight and inches but it would be more if I was better with my diet. I do PB alot and it is because I am eating so way to fast and cannot seem to be able to stop myself. Due to an unplanned unfill I have been having to use will power. Of course if I had much I would not be here. I hope to get a fill soon. My doc here at home is going to be getting a floru in a few weeks then she will be doing fills!!!!:whoo:!!!!! I can't wait. Better than having to drive to Dallas and back in one day.:)

Also I have not been on a very good excersice program since I am sooooo busy at work and have to keep up my 3 acre yard. I run out of time in the day. I am going to try to find some time somewhere!!!!:straight!!!!!

On a up note I have cut my Metformin dose in 1/2 and only have to take it at night!!!!:clap2:!!!! Have not had to take a Rolaid or Maloxx since my surgery!!!!:clap2:!!! Those to things alone make this all so worth it. I hope that with I get my next fill and get to a Sweet spot I will see the scale drop. This gaining and then losing the same 5-6 pounds is very discouraging.

Glad to see everyone doing so good.

Will check in more often.!!!!!!!!

Hi all. I am glad so many of you are having success. My name is Dee. I was banded in Mexico 1/15/07. I am not doing well, I have only lost 30 pounds and had 2 fills. I will try to get back to Mx. for another fills soon. I am getting depressed. I don't excercise more than taking care of kids and house due to back pain. Can't find anyone in chats when I'm here, so I came here looking for January 07 buddies. Hope totalk soon, DEE

Hey all, brought myself to tears last night...

Went to the closet to pick out an outfit for work. I've been rather casual over the summer, so my business clothes are just sitting. So I put on a pair of slacks that I had and noticed…hey…these are big! So without a second thought, moved to another pair of slacks that I've never worn, because they've always been too snug. Wouldn't you know…TOO big. Then it hit me! With a fury like you've not seen…I went from left to right - and tried on every slack, skirt, capri, in my closet. My NSV - I no longer have anything in my closet that is TIGHT. Everything either fits perfectly or is TOO BIG! Those few pairs of pants I bought for 'someday'…came, and WENT! :biggrin1:

I brought myself to tears…and did a happy dance! :whoo:

So the weight isn't coming off so fast, but the body is changing in size and shape!!! For the better!~ :clap2:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
