There are a lot of threads on here for pureed foods. Today is my last day on purees. I ate pureed beef stew, vegetarian chili, regular chili, chicken salad, cheese and broccoli Soup, yogurt...and that was the extent of it. I never got more creative than that because I had soooo much leftovers from the stew and chili I made.

I had lots of Soups and diary, custard yoghurts etc.

I found because I could only get in such a small amount, I wasn't really that phased what it was. It was only 2 weeks for me.

I'm hoping the chili and Soups do it for me. I'm a bit worried about it. Right now, it's a consistency thing. A full bodied Soup full of veggies and meat, I love, but something like cream of broccoli, or broth, I have a hard to stomaching. I'm hoping things like chicken salad in a food processor work for me, but I'm not too excited about going through these two weeks before I get to soft foods.

The thing that keeps me encouraged about the pureed stage as I approach it, is that my nutritionist said that meats like tuna and chicken in pouches don't have to go through a blender or anything. They're already pretty mushy, so just make sure to break up the bigger chunks with a fork and chew them well. I think about tuna every. single. day. It will be the first thing I eat, for sure. I just started full liquids yesterday, so it's still two weeks away for me.

When you guys talk about eating Soups on your pureed stage, did you blend up the Soup? Like, for beef stew, did you just make sure to take small bites and chew them really well, or process it? What about chili? Also, did your stomachs tolerate chili okay? It's not too acidic that early?

My Nut said we had to blend Chili and beef stew. Never had a problem with chili causing to much acid. Hormel makes single serve lunch items that add so e good variety puréed. You will not be able to eat a whole one. Like someone else mention you eat so little during this stage you will open one can if chili and eat on it for days.

I brought Ruth's chicken and tuna salad, no need to put in blender they are already very soft. I could only eat 1/4 cup at a time so it lasted through out the two weeks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
