December Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Ok, So I am trying to stay on track. Had a good weekend, havent lost any weight, but I am trying to only do 3 meals a day and was able to excercise Sat and today. I have logged all of my calories at mycaloriecounter.com and have managed to drink 4 glasses of Water today. I even maxed out on my Protein. SO I would say today is a good day. Telling you all makes me accountable for what I have done. LEts see if I feel that way on an off day LOL!

:clap2:

What are you eating on a daily basis? Are you tracking your food?

I think some folks prefer not to track calories and such but it soooo easy to consume more calories than realized and unless you track it for a few days, you won't realize it.

I was on a 2 week thing where I wasn't losing anything. Then I lost 13 pounds in 13 days, now I'm on another two week thing of not losing anything. I think your body just plays catch-up sometimes. Perhaps Water loss is exchanged for fat loss during this time? Hard telling.

If you are exercising on a regular basis you might be building a little muscle and losing fat.

Are you taking your measurements to see if you are losing inches during this time?

Bexley,

are you getting enough Fiber? I agree with Wasa - track your calories!! I've only been losing 1-2 pounds a week and I know when it's my fault that I'm not losing!!

BLEXEY.....I'm in the same boat!!! I'm exercising, not eating too much and still haven't budged in 6 weeks! :-( It sucks!!

Not sure what to do either as I DO have restriction! But just wanted you to know you're not alone!

I was the same way. I think I went two months before I lost again. Then I lost 5 lbs the next week. Just make sure you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing and you'll be surprised one day that you have dropped again.

Bubble is right. I have to write down every calorie because they really add up fast. I got a great book. Connie Netzer -The complete book of food counts. It has fat grams, sodium, calories, Protein and fiber grams. I like it because online I have to figure out my portion compared to the portion they have for the calories listed. Like they will have one cup of this and I only eat half a cup. This book is easier. It has every food imaginable and restaurant foods too.

Lets keep this thread going and check in with each other!

Well, it's official. I think I need a fill. I was able to eat a McDonald's cheeseburger today pretty quickly. I'm scheduled Thursday. I'm doing it under fluoro to make sure everything is ok.

How much do you have now? I will be curious to hear if the fluro showed anything.

I think I am going to get one in the beginning of June.

I am supposed to have 2.5 right now in a 4 band. I'm going to see if the Dr. will take it out and make sure.

I'm so worried I've stretched my pouch...

When are you going to have this done. I am really curious to hear what you find out. I worry I stretched mine out too.

Tomorrow. I will report back tomorrow evening.

I'm pretty worried but need to face the music in case anything is wrong.

I bet everything's okay. They say the band gets looser because we have lost fat around our stomach. I hope that's just what's going on with you! I can't wait to hear what you find out.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I have joined weight watchers so I do keep a journal and exercise everyday. I even am wearing a pedometer. Next week I go to the beach and look forward to exercising there, also. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Denis822... I bet I will be like you and start moving downward again soon! Thanks again!!!!

I am going to call and get a fill at the beginning of June. I don't want to go on these long plateaus of over a month and lose one single lb. If I don't lose anything in May, I am calling. I meant to say I have gone all through the month of May so far and haven't lost one single lb.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
