Has anyone been to Dr. Stanley Klein in Torrance, CA

I'm just starting this journey and would like to know any pros or cons with this Doctor. My insurance is sending me to Association of South Bay Surgeons. They have 4 Bariatric specialists and with all the research I've done I think this is the Doctor I want. But how do you know for sure... so confused and would love some help. I think I'm over thinking this whole process. HELP PLEASE!!!

I went with South Bay Surgeons, specifically Dr. Solomon. He had removed my gallbladder 3 years prior so I stuck with him to do my gastric sleeve this year. He's a great surgeon. Go with what you feel is best for you

I used Dr. Korman in Marina Del Rey

I searched a few dr.'s all over southern california. If you have a choice check him out...

I have had the best support from his office and he is very personable. My husband even says if it wasn't for the support I had from them he doesn't think i would be as successful as I have been this far!

I had surgery on Oct. 22nd 2012

Thanks for the input. I've decided to go with Dr. Takahashi from South Bay Surgeons. She is straight forward and to the point. I really liked her. I have already had my first consultation with her and have completed the required support group and nutrition classes my next appointment will be with the Psych (sp?) on March 5th. So I'm well on my way and happy with my decision. Thank you everyone.... :D

That is the most important part! You have to feel comfort in your surgeon!!!

Congrats!!!

HI Ln2bfunny -- I also go to Dr T. I have completed all my tests and the office should be sending my auth request this week. I can't wait. Do you have a surgery date yet?

Hi uccmart,

Congrats and getting that far... Hopefully you get the approval fast... Keep me updated!!

No I don't have a date still have a few more test. I have my last pre-op appt with Dr. T on June 24 and everything should be done and submitted to the insurance then... It's getting close and I'm super excited.

Hi I went with Dr. Solomon from South Bay Surgeons and my surgery is the 29th of this month. The office has been very good and the Dr. is very helpful

Hi Lv2bfunny... I'm seeing Dr. Klein. I just had my consultation with him on 6/5, he spent almost 2 hrs going over everything with me. He's actually the only doctor my referring physician recommended. Good luck on your journey, I'm just getting started :-/

Hi Brwneyedwoman!!

I haven't met Dr. Klein but everyone at that office seems to be amazing. I have my pre-op appointment this next monday and I'm so excited. My regular Dr. told me today that I have already been approved and now it's just a formality... so I should have my date very soon.

Good luck with everything and it will go by fast!! :D

That great news!! I'm just waiting for my orders, so I'll know exactly what I need to do. I know I need to lose 10% of my current weight and schedule the various tests. Wishing you the best :-)
