Last minute jitters!!!! appt tomorrow...

Hi Everyone!

I am scheduled for my banding tomorrow at 2:30 by Dr.Ren at NYU Medical. I Have to say that I am nervous and excited at the same time. I feel more nervous than excited most of the time.

Did anyone ever feel overwhelmed right before the surgery? I would love and appreciate anyones story on how they felt just 24 hrs before surgery - and how they felt (mentally) afterwards...

Many Thanks!

Maureen

I don't have any words of widsom I am Friday and am feeling the same way far more anxious than worried...I guess maybe look at before and after pictures then visualize yourself ... I think I also plan to make a list of the things I want that I haven't been able to have...crossing legs, riding rollercoasters, etc..God be with you

Strangercat-

By the time you read this you will probably be out of surgery! I hope all went well, and now you can update US on how you got through the jitters!!! I KNOW I will probably be freaking out the day before surgery--- getting last minutes things done and just taking one step at a time rather than thinking about the actual BIG event usually helps me stay calm, as well as helps me make sure I keep a level head and not forgetting important things. Also, to anyone else feeling like this- I'm planning on making a list of all the reasons that I am doing this and keeping it nearby for after surgery when I have pain or struggling with head hunger etc. Maybe that would help you too...

LEt us know how it went!!!
