Hi Fellow Banders

Hello to all. I am a new kid on the block.

I was banded 11/01/06.

Weight at banding was 264

Goal weight is 150.

My Dr. is Felix Spiegel

Houston, Tx

I live in Central Texas.

I am new to forum boards. I live in a rural area and my computer is rather slow. I am really excited about the banding journey and just want to gather all the information I can here at the beginning. I feel great and only have a few aches from the procedure. I am on only liquids so far and doing OK. Thanks for any advice or input you have.

Hey Happy and welcome from Houston. Almost neighbors and we had the same doctor. I had my surgery at the end of April and like 18 pounds til goal and our goal is the same and close to the same age. How about that.

This is a wonderful board and very informative and if I can help you in any way just let me know. You will be feeling like a new person before you know it.:)

Thanks for your post. I am really excited for you being so close to reaching your goal. That is very encouraging for us new kids. I am just trying to absorb information offered here. It's great to be able to find a place with this common bond. I feel pretty good but am still a bit stiff and seem to stiff have problems with gas bubbles settling in my shoulder and neck. I am walking and following Dr. Felix's instructions. Hope to be seeing results soon.

How are you feeling now, a few days out of surgery? I had my surgery in Dallas, but live close to Tulsa, OK. I wasn't overweight enough or have any comorbidities, so they won't do it here. I weighed 237 before surgery, now I am 224! We should keep in touch, compare notes since we were banded the same day.

Hi Kristi,

I agree we should keep in touch with the same surgery date. I am feeling much better today. I have not had much trouble since surgery. Only real problem has been the O2 gas from the surgery. That is getting better though and the swelling and soreness is much better too. I have been following Dr's instructions to the T. I also have been walking every day. You are really doing great on the weight loss already! Keep up the good work. I have not weighed since surgery. Guess I should after hearing your news. I go back to work tomorrow. I am at a desk all day so it should not be a problem. Just may get tired is all. I am really excited about the beginning of my new life experience. How are you feeling? Keep in touch.

Hi and welcome to LBT! You have definitely found the right place to get the support and advice you need. It sounds like you are doing wonderfully so far. If there is anything I can do to help, give me a holler!

Welcome to LBT and to bandland!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Just remember to sip your drinks as much as you can, and chew, chew, chew. Follow your doctors rules about eating etc. and you'll do just fine. Good luck!
