Fudgy Gooey Brownies

Recommended Posts

Hahaha knew that would get someone's attention ;p

Made the black bean brownies tonight:

Actually tasty, I added walnuts to it. Next time we try them I'm going to try the apple sauce substitute.

Not sure the calorie content, but only had 1"x1" square lol. But my 5yr old and fiancé enjoyed them.

Do NOT let them scare you. You need to make an informed decision that is right for you. Remember, most people who have a normal, successful post-op period don't post about it.

Yeah I hate all the crazy nazi like posts from people bashing others, preaching their doctors food guide, yelling at people over stupid stuff. It's surgery, yes there are risks and complication with every surgery. But my fiancé was right when he told me if my fear of death was the only thing holding me back from getting surgery then to do it, that I could die in a car crash driving to the doctor/work/grocery store. No day is promised to us.

I've had complications, stalls, sliming, dumping, slow weightloss, you name it. But I'm so grateful for this tool and am happy goofy and always willing to post something goofy, crazy or helpful :)

I'm a Lapland complication conversion to the sleeve who had raised my son on my own since birth. Im strong and don't let others keep me down. And one day I'll make a healthy hot bride and wife, and ex wife to make my ex's baby momma crazy lol.

I'm all about support and being there for each other in this journey.

I greatly value your positive feed back and reassurance...This has been an easy process for me from beginning pre-op appointment until wait for insurance approval. I prayed if this surgery is for me then God will make the process quick and easy...and that it has been! Also I decided to go with another surgeon because the hospital my pcp is affiliated with didn't have availability until the end of January....omg! And her I am getting sleeved middle of Jan...smh and lol Yes, I agree that with surgery complications are possible so is with everyday living... On 1/26 I will turn 40and I can't continue living in this fat shell and getting sick from all my obesity complications....so with that said Praise God for this journey! Thanks to all

Yummers! nother great one is take a box of cake mix, any brand any flavor but chocolate or spice works best, add one can of pumpkin and bake according to box. Nothing else! Can make into cake or muffins. Pumpkin really bumps up Fiber and tastes sooooooooooooo yummy. About 98 cals per muffin and sooooo moist.

Thank you for posting this recipe. Did you cook your own black Beans or did you get them from a can?

Here are a few other places to find good recipes.

http://www.emilybites.com/ ; http://www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com ; http://www.hungrygirl.com ; http://www.thelaughingcow.com/ ; http://www.pbfingers.com/ ; http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/ ; http://highheelstohotwheels.com/

And here is my own personal recipe for a healthier seafood salad.

4 Imitation crab sticks (you can use real crab but not sure of the conversion, maybe 1/2 cup)

6-8 baby shrimp (chop if you like)

1/2 celery stalk (2" piece) diced

1 teaspoon (approximately) diced onion

1 wedge Laughing Cow cheese (I use all different flavors depending on my mood)

Mash all ingredients together. I just eat it with a fork. Sometimes I have a few Simple Truth Parmesean Pop chips with it.

This is my go to lunch at work most days. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
