November 2012 sleevers how are you doing ?

Recommended Posts

Sleeved on Election Day (Nov. 6th). 322 before per-op diet, 313 on day of surgery, and 258 as of yesterday. 64 lbs total and damn proud! This is the best I've felt in many, many years. Granted, it's been a tough journey. I describe the experience to my friends one sentence; The most strict diet I've ever been on combined with a major surgery that kicked my a**! But as most would agree, I'd do it all in a minute. Things I can do now that I couldn't a couple months ago:

Fit in a seat on an air plane without having to use a seat belt extension.

Fit in a booth at a restaurant.

Sex....ohhhhh boy. I'll save it for the man room.

Sit up from a laying position without looking like a turtle on its shell.

Tie my shoes while they're still on my feet.

Look at myself in the mirror (still not all that pretty to look at, but getting better!)

Pass a Wendy's without ordering 2 spicy chicken combos.

Find clothes that fit me at places like Kohles and Target.

Walk for quite a distance without getting those sores on my inner thighs (they're gone completely!).

sleep without my C-pap machine.

Give someone a good hug.

Smile when I think of my future!

Life is good!

I was sleeved on the 14th and I have lost 39 pounds so far...I have too like so many of my other November sleevers have not started to work out. I did plan in starting this week so I guess a have a few more days to get it together but I definitely will be doing something next week no excuses. I also think I'm in a stall period this is my longest one haven't lost in like 6 days ( is this considered a stall?) So proud of all of your accomplishments November sleevers keep up the good work!!!

Sleeved on 11/20 down 32 lbs. haven't started exercising yet either. I have 2 stalls also. I have quit weighing so often that helps I was getting upset with weighing daily with the ups and downs on scale when eating so little I thought weight would be falling off! ! It was hard through the holidays but I stayed on track eating!

I don't know how much exercise I can do I have such bad knees can't stand without a walker! I am going to try chair exercise. Anyone else have this problem?

My average calories per day right now is at about 750. I get on the elliptical for about 20, 5 days a week. Started doing the elliptical about 2 weeks ago.

I was sleeved 11/20, starting weight was 361. Weighed this morning at 297, I not in the 300's anymore. I lost 20 of those lbs during liquid phase. It is a struggle for me to eat solid but it is getting a little better everyday.

My nutritionist said that exercise, while healthy and necessary, won't really increase your weight loss. It is more for maintaining. The majority of our loss will come from our bodies using our fat stores for calories. (that of course depends on what kind of deficit we create with our food intake).

About 750 per day . I drink all my Water and Protein intake good! How long do stalls last?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
