If you had the choice to make the decision to have the sleeve surgery again...would you still do it?

I've been very blessed so far, so it is easy to say yes, but when I read about all the complications some have had, my heart goes to them and it makes me question if this surgery is really the answer....

Then I remember what my life used to be.... I was not living, I was dying. I would spend all day in bed, depressed, with a lot of back pain, and very ashamed of all my issues. I had isolated myself from family and friends. My life was a sad mess. So many times I felt this world was too much for me to handle... I did seek therapy, but nothing much changed... So when I see how bad my quality of life was, I rethink and I am almost sure I made the right choice.

I completely agree...I was able to go back to work a week post op and my heart really does ache and go out to those who have had problems. I can only pray that they go away for them and dont happen to the rest of us! I am only 20 and knew my life would be short if I didnt make changes. Thank you for commenting, It really does help and mean a lot!

Ummmm...let me think....ahhhh yeah. Without a doubt. It's hard, it's crazy and often sucks but I know this "discomfort" I am experiencing will be well worth it.

Yes I would!!! I do get frustrated when having problems figuring out what I can tolerate, or get weak easily. BUT then I remember how bad I felt ALL the time 50 lbs ago, how bad my food choices made me feel, and how horrible tight clothes feel. I am SO excited about what the future holds. Traveling, running 5 Ks with my sister, sharing clothes with my daughters, and shopping trips with my friends!!! Sleeved 12/10/12 and HAPPY !!!

When I look at myself and what I accomplish weight wise I would say YES!! But when I sit and think about cutting out a part of my that was normal and nothing wrong with it, not knowing the long term effects, all the Vitamin and constant Protein and also the complication that iggy has I deeply regret it to a point where I'm terrified about my future.

I would do it again although in the beginning it is tough I will be 2 months out on the 8th and still learning how to work with my new friend even though it does get frustrating at times I would do it again in a heartbeat! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
