It does get better. I'm praying for you. The O2 settled into my shoulder areas from being operated on laproscopically, that was really painful. Take care and Merry Christmas.

I' sorry to see that you are having problems. I have not had any major issues. I was lucky to be done with the gas pains yesterday evening and I never really had any further pains until they removed my catheter *ouch!!*.

I was released this evening at 7:00 PM... Total stay 30 hrs.

I would suggest that if you are having pain, there is no reason to remain stoic. Let you nurse know and they will do their job and get you what you need.

Prayers going out...

First two days are the hardest. I had a very bad time the first two days between pain and nausea. I cried pretty much the whole first night. Day three I started to turn a corner and things got a lot better. Trust me every day is better then the last. Sending you hugs!

Congrats and hang in there! Please! If u r having pain in the hospital let ur nurse know immediately. They r setup to try many different drugs until they find something that works. My nurse said I should never be about a 3 on the 0-10 pain scale. They had me in the PCA morphin pump and I hated that. I could push it every 8 minutes but I felt like I never got any rest because I was always waking up in pain and I kept losing the little button thing. Plus the morphin was giving me really bad headaches. They Then tried toradol and that was my miracle drug! Worked great for me! Just make sure to tell the nurse that u r still in too much pain and u want to try a different drug! Prayers for u that u get some rest and relief!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
