Sex after losing the excess weight is infinitely better, as far as I am concerned. Yes, I have loose skin. But as far as participating fully, that counts for a lot.

I see nothing wrong with waiting for marriage. I would imagine you have had conversations about his views on sexuality and feel you will be compatible. It wouldn't be for me - but it takes all kinds!

I am amused that this has gone from "Is sex different after the surgery" to "should you have sex before marriage".

I say do it when you want to, heavy or not, if you love the person, it will most likely be "good".

You'll probably have more lingerie options when you are thinner, though.

I will say- sex before was great with my guy. Sex now- is mind blowing.. and this is only 35lbs gone. I am able to do a lot more and move a lot more and i enjoy it immensely :)

I've list 51 pounds and sex went from blah to bravo!!!! My husband said it felt different. I could move/bend/twist much easier and had no hip or back pain.

I happen to love my fat sex, my husband claims he likes it better than sex he's had with any skinny girls (and its been A LOT), when I told him I had made te choice to sleeve his first reaction was "what if the sex isn't as good!" And he's not a chubby chaser or whatever other witty thing you call guys that are into fat chicks.

I guess I should add despite being a fatty I'm still super flexible and rather inhibited, I think the sex becomes "amazing" because your mind lets it, maybe not so much because the sex changed.

I have lost 108 pounds. I was flexible to some extent when I was overweight but now I am extremely bendy! ;) Sex is much better. Yes I have some lose skin but its still way better than the weight. I have the confidence to have sex with the lights on. My man can hold me in the air while we have sex now. Our sex life is so much better. :)

I call bullshit on your bullshit. Stop making stories up.

Lol if I was going to make up a story it would have been better than that. For what reason would I need to make that up any way? Everyone has there on beliefs and views I was just giving an example that I know first hand about.

Studies show that people who wait until marriage to have sex actually have longer, happier marriages.

You can go ahead with your unsolicited nonsense now.

There are also studies that show the opposite. What's your point?

Fishy, I felt the need to say that you are RUDE. I've seen more than one post from you that was sarcastic/mean or rude. Unless you've live in everyone's house and lives, you have no idea if people are making up stories or not. People come to this place for support and advice, so unless you cut the negativity, you're going to end up being reported

Sex for me was good when I was 300lbs and well as it is now at 178lbs. The only difference is the skin and now Im not so out of beath (sometimes). I have nothing against a person waiting for marriage, but I would hate to get married and the sex turns out to be bad. But I guess you can teach me what u like, when that time comes.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
