I had mine on the 17th and I haven't had 1 did the milk of magnesia make me so sick with the taste of it... felt my mouth salivating ...... seems like the whole pre op diet only had 1 first week of the pre op diet.....don't think I've had 1 for a week before the operation.... had a few pebbles at the hospital but I thought that's what is giving me such a bad headache being constipated......but I don't know what to do... guess I'm about ready to get the garden hose daddy says...lol

My surgery was done on the 17th of December and I did the pre op diet for 2 weeks only had 1 bowel movement that first week....... only because I took a laxative .....I'm probably pretty constipated they did a suppository at the hospital that's what I had caused a few pebbles when I got home I did duclox laxatives... today 2 teaspoons of milk of magnesia this morning and still nothing... maybe it's all the drugs I was given in the hospital didnt take that much pain medication was in there for 3 days after the surgery......

Had surgery the 18th, yes have had bm..not a normal one but 2 or3 and many bowel sounds and movement. Make sure u r walking!

Well I will try milk of mag and see what happens! That last BM was when I was in pre op and I think that was because of the antibiotics they gave me!

I was the 17th and no bm here yet other than the tiny pebbles at the hospital....anyday now i keep saying!!! If not today maybe Monday ill get something for it. I was told no laxatives and the pain meds can make u constipated too

I had my first one 6 days later and my second one five days after that. I bought some Miralax, but haven't taken it yet.

i am the opposite! diarreah. i think from all of the liquids and milk. i have always had a very sensitive stomach so not surprising

Guys try some magnesium citrate & add magnesium calcium citrate and miralax to diet...trust me you will be happy you did so...I'm Ms. IBS! Meds & vitamins/minerals will back you up...good luck.
