December 28th surgery date.

Recommended Posts

Good luck each and everyone of you. It is a very exciting experience.. I had my surgery on 8/29/12.

It is rough the first couple of days but remember sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk....

First couple of days you might not get to much fluids into your tummy. IT is swollen, irritated and very sore...

Don't try and rush into the next stage of your post-op. take it one day at a time..

I was excited to see several people sharing the same surgery date as myself. Even though we are miles apart, I will have some comfort knowing that there are other people out there on Friday morning feeling the same anticipation and excitement as we start a new journey. Best wishes and positive thoughts to everyone as we move though the last few hours before surgery.

Prepare to be miserable for 24-48 hours after that its smoothe sailing 72 hours after surgery I was doing 30min walks around my hotel climbing 3 or 4 flights of stairs at a time. Walking after surgery is very important to your recovery every time I went walking it got easier and easier. Good luck!

Hello all that will be going in tomorrow to be sleeved.... I just got back from the store. I purchased the gas-x, pepcid ac (maximum strength) and Miralax. Im getting ready, i know and believe all will go well with everyone tomorrow including me!!! I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
