I am trying so hard not to eat :(

You're so close! Hang in there a few more days. It's not fun, but focus on your goal. The liquid part is so short in the grand scheme of things. Be strong and remember why you're doing this.

Hang in there. I know it's tough. After the first three days, it should get a little easier. Just keep some sugar free popsicles and sugar free Jello on hand. They really helped me through this phase. The liquid diet is just one of the challenges we go through to get ready for the sleeve. I still do a liquid diet (when I stall) but only for 3-5 days. Good luck on your journey. :)

Im on the 17th and im on my liquid diet too. Its very difficult. I never realized how many food commercials came on. I would go to the movies but just the thought of not having anything to eat there is killing me. :-(

You may laugh at this...but I went to the library. Lol. Seriously. There are NO food smells in there to make me want food and everyone is quiet. But, I like reading and I got some research done (WLS stuff) so it worked for me. And I drank at least 2 bottles of Water before I left.

I am scheduled on the 19th too but my doctor allows a 4 oz Protein and veggies for dinner with 2 shakes for Breakfast and lunch. I really expect to have to do full liquid diet. Is this unusual? Even with that, I feel really hungry. Preoccupied with food. I have heard people call it head hunger. That seems true, lol.

I'm having mine on the 19th as well, but only have to do the clear liquid diet with the colon cleanse on Tuesday. Thought they'd start me on liquid on Friday, but they didn't require it for me I even asked him if he was sure. LOL Anyway, good luck to you and hope you have a smooth recovery. Let us know how you're doin afterwards.

Iam on day two of my full liquid diet im doing ok.. not hungry or anything no headaches drinking plenty of Water and my shakes sugar free Jello and popsicles as well as my two cups of broth per day... ataying under 700 calories though. I work nights so I sleep during the day I think this what gets me thru it. I dont really watch tv so the commercial thing doesn't get to me. However I really want a slice of buffalo chicken pizza.... ughhh lol my favorite.

I am having surgery Dec 26 and I have been on the pre op diet since the 12th and I am having a lot of trouble with this. food is everywhere. I try to keep in mind the goal. It is tough. I know how the people on "intervention" feel about giving up their drugs now....food is my drug.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
