Holy Cow surgery monday! So much anxiety & fear

Talk about breaking my heart. My son (5) and I were talking and I said I was scared about my surgery Monday and he goes "you can always see me from heaven and I can remember you in my mind" shocked I have him able to understand, then floored told him don't kill me off so quick.

So of course I end up bawling. I'm just scared. Nothing about the actually surgery scares me, I have a high pain tolerance, not worried about stitches, just dying and not being there for my son.

Still at hospital, low grade fever last night. Zofran has helped manage the nausea, norco for pain. Tastes bad. The worst is the every 8 hour heparin shots to keep from getting blood clots. Feels like they are injecting my arm with fire ants.

Over all pain is getting better, body has released some of the air they inflate you with. Still hurts when I drink. Going very slowly. Still in the wtf did I do this for stage.

They have me measure out my fluids in little 2tbs cups, looks like I'm going rounds of shots, except the have me sip on one wait 15mins and then do the next

My fiancé visited last night after work and brought me flowers and a favorite board game. I was so sick and so much pain I just slept, felt awful he drove all the way to see me and all I did was sleep

I know the feeling hun my surgery is scheduled Monday too and I have two kids.. he wasn't "killing you off" just trying to comfort you.. it just didn't come out as hoped unfortunately remember he's vine of the reasons you have decided to do this.. and God willing, will bring just the opposite result..because of this surgery our biggest hope is to be there ever longer right along side of our little ones and keeps with them. So just give him a big hug and thank God you have such a wonderful reason to fight for a healthier you!

Well came home Wednesday around 4pm. I'm still wicked sore, extreme pain on my right side. Can not wait for it to go away, sons excited to have me home but bummed he can't curl up in my lap.

sleeping in recliner, figured it was easier than rolling in and out of bed. Down side is our giant cat who missed me too wanting to lay on me.
