Getting Sleeved On December 11Th........anyone Else Getting Sleeved On This Date? Let's Support And Encourage Eachother!

Hi fellow sleevers........I will be getting sleeved on Dec 11th and to say the least, I'm scared as all hell......I'm known for canceling my surgery date and rescheduling do to complication fears.....I'm currently 240 lbs and 5'5 which is just extremely to much weight for my height. I don't have many supporters in my life and think this site is the perfect place to get support from people who really care.....I've been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember...I'm depressed all the time and always accusing my husband of cheating because of how insecure I am with self......This has to stop!! I'm ready to get my life back and get off this damn couch......Is there anyone else having their surgery on or around Dec 11th?? Let's share our journeys and help support eachother!!!

Simplyfedup,

One good piece of news I have for you about the flavor of the protien shakes, and flavor of everything in general, is that immediately after surgery, your taste buds will change change change! I don't know the exact science, and I was kind of freaked out by it, I'd read about it but experiencing it was both good and bad. Before my surgery, I was a salt fiend, now everything is very salty. I tried a bite of bacon, YUCK! This change in taste buds for me makes the protien shakes more pallatable. I mix mine with just Water. Also, I have found that warm and hot liquids go down much easier than cold. Hopefully the tastebud change will make your protien taste better also! I recommend the unjury sample pack, you get many of their flavors including unflavored powder which you can mix with any liquid to make it have more protien. Good luck!

wow thanks great info......I'm so not looking forward to that change but at least now I know what to expect. Lol at you trying that piece of bacon. As you said hopefully the shakes will get better in my case. Unjury sample pack huh? I guess I'll be ordering that as well...everyone praises their chicken broth.....I tried mixing my whey Protein powder with juice today instead of water and although I'm still sipping it, it is extremely sweet......thanks so much for this info it really helps to know
