Hey Everyone, I am also going with Dr. Fernando Garcia, aiming for a Feb 2013 date as well. I have been speaking with him an his staff for over a week now and am pretty confident in my decision. BUT, I have to most likely go alone. Which I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to do that. SOOOO, I was hoping there would be someone(persons) that wouldn't mind "buddying" up through this process. I live in the Washington DC/ surrounding areas. So it would be lovely if someone from this area is considering him during the same time. But anywhere is okay I just don't wanna do this alone. If that's cool with anyone we can go through it ll together. If interested let me know what dates because I haven't scheduled yet. Maybe we can exchange contact info.

I thought 3 days of clear liquids and laxative before the surgery.. But I do plan on having a last meal before surgery lol I've read that it doesn't hurt anything.

I guess it all depends in BMI. What was sent to me was 7-14 days on pre op diet that I mentioned at first. The part where it say laxative for 3 days Alma said don't take because we aren't getting gastric bypass. I'm having a nice fat salad tonight I did take the laxative just because I felt it won't hurt. Then I'm going to be completely clear liquids on Monday(day of arrival)

That's what I received. I may take the laxative for one day... I go to the bathroom quite frequently naturally. I get out there on Sunday and my surgery is Monday..so the contents will be out of my stomach by then. I really am going to miss food lol

So we are a day behind each other for surgery. Okay then I can rely on you to tell me how it is. Lol I think my friend is trying not to sike me out. She said it only takes a day n a half to start feeling normal again. But never did she say she was in horrible pain. Lol just gas and pressure.

Well folks they are having trouble with getting my IV set up. So they have to do it in the OR. Which has delayed my surgery time. Still waiting.
