So the bill says 110,915.17 after all the discounts it totals 28,207.00 that's a pretty penny IMO not to bad considering I spent 4 days in a private room at Cedars Sinai..

Amazing, we are pretty lucky! I could have never done this without insurance covering it! Very lucky and happy!

Hello everyone I'm brand new here (well I 've been lurking for about a month). My insurance company pays for 80% of my surgery and I am in charge of the other 20. I was wondering if more of you could share what the cost of your surgery was (after the discounts).

Thanks for any information.

I work with insurance frequently as the Director of Human Resources for my firm. I was self-pay and my single bill was around $18,000. I was told that if I had insurance coverage the health care providers would have billed the insurance company roughly $50,000. Ridiculous.

My total out of pocket expenses were limited to a $100 co-pay, kbby....I didn't have to pay any percentage of the total bill. I was incredibly fortunate...and HP approved my surgery within 2 days of receiving the first request for approval from my surgeon's office. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
