Hi, I'm a newbie! I've been waiting for this day since last December, had to get insurance approval, do all kinds of tests and now I have made it! I was scheduled yesterday but it had to be postponed till today. Today, its here! YEAH!!! What is it like after surgery?

Good Luck! The first week after surgery was not great for me...I was like a tick about to pop...but I am 70lbs down and would do it again in a heartbeat.

You've had your surgery by now and I hope all is well. I didn't have any trouble at all with my surgery and day 3 was mopping kitchen, vacuming doing laundry and all that good stuff and day 10 went 4 wheeler riding all day long. You'll do great, I think everyone does differently but just walk, sip, sip, sip, and get plenty of rest. Congrats.

I'm really new. Faxed in my application yesterday to BIDMC. I wonder how long it will be 'til they contact me? It's hard to wait. Barring any unforseen problems, how soon 'til I get banded? ...3 months..6 months ..a year? What have your experiences been at BIDMC?

I really enjoy looking at this site. I haven't had this much hope for years.
