Recommended Posts

I should be sleeping now since I have to get up at like 4:00 in the morning but I can't! I'm not nervous about the surgery itself but the pain after and trying to eat has me pretty nervous. Ah!!

Yay!! Good luck! Just remember..the pain wont last forever and from what ive read there is more nausea than pain...i dont know whats worse...lol crossing fingers for ya!!!

I had my surgery yesterday morning. I'm sore, but doing fine. I've been walking as much as possible. I am so thirsty! I'm waiting to have my leak test.

I'm one week away from my diet and one week into my liquid diet. It's getting easier but I've started figuring out my binge eating times. I always seem to gravitate to the kitchen right at 4pm. It's just crazy that in a week I hopefully won't feel this hunger at all.

Good luck. You all will do fine. I had surgery Monday and the worse thing for me has been the spasms. Getting better though.

2 Weeks Post op with no complications. Feeling good down 33 lbs. Had to go get new sweat pants and had to get XL size because XXL was too big. Oh what a feeling!!!! Loving the journey. 85 lbs to go.

wow - fantastic... 2 weeks out and 33 lbs!!!! I am two weeks out and down only 13 lbs from day of surgery (23 lbs from beginning of year)! I am feeling good about losing the weight, but I see your loss and wonder what I need to be doing!?! My doc has me on soft foods - not puree, but chicken or whatever as long as it is super soft! What are you doing at this point? Keep up the great work!

I'm 2 weeks today and also down 13lbs. 53 total which I love but anxious to see the post surgery lbs add up. I'm on puréed food starting today so can't wait till dinner time when I can eat MEAT! Even puréed meat will be ok. I made pork chops in my slow cooker last weeks, so packaged up 1/2 cups of meat and gravy for myself out of the leftovers. Yummy! Hoping I have no problems eating it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
