Tomorrow is my day!! Doesn't feel real yet! Packing and getting everything squared away before I go to sleep tonight. I have to be at the hospital at 8am and surgery is at noon. Excited and nervous for this next chapter in my life. Can't wait to no longer feel hungry! Good luck tomorrow to all my sleeve sisters!!

I'm nervous about how I'm gonna do after surgery Wednesday when I'm already soooo sick if Protein Shakes, broth and sf jello! I just want meat! Lol I can't believe surgery is just a few days away...starting to get nervous.

I feel the same way. I have surgery in the morning and I broke down and had a small piece of beef roast. I thought I was going to lose my cool, so I ate it.

I hope it doesn't mess up my surgery tomorrow!

I couldn't eat anything but Clear Liquids the day before surgery and nothing at all after midnight....I know it has to do with Anesthesia but I'm not if it affects anything else with surgery....did your dr. say no eating the day before?

Don't worry. I am sure everything will be fine. Just let them know that you ate just to be on the safe side. My cousin ate a huge Chinese dinner the night before her RNY and she was perfectly fine with no complications. Good luck tomorrow!!

I'm being sleeved tomorrow at 8am MST. I saw my doctor today and I asked him if I should be just drinking liquids - he said he doesn't restrict diets before surgery but nothing after 11pm. I had Cheerios for dinner - go figure. Anyway blessings to all of us. Be sure and post tomorrow when u can:)

I has surgery 1/14. My doc just said nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I did just fine. When I got to the hospital I was asked several times from different people when was the last time I ate and I told them 10 pm. They did not ask me what I ate.

I should be sleeping now since I have to get up at like 4:00 in the morning but I can't! I'm not nervous about the surgery itself but the pain after and trying to eat has me pretty nervous. Ah!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
