I am sleeved :) and home from the hospital. I am having trouble getting all my liquids in. Just does not seem to be room for them. I am also having a LOT of heart burn. fun fun fun.

Overall, doing really really well and I am excited to be able to start this part of my journey.

So bummed, my cold got worse around 1 am. I had to go to the ER, ended up with a nasty ear infection. They said the drum is close to bursting ( nice). They gave me 4 different medications to start taking. Looks like I will be canceling my surgery for Monday.

Just go. If you feel up to it go and see what they say. I got sick & started coughing with a sore throat almost 2 days prior to my big day. (1/7/13) They let me have my surgery. Drink Water, keep your sprits up and go.

& by the way, coughing hurts like hell when you have holes in your tummy.... food for thought.... It won't be totally a bad thing if they held you up a day or two... Trust me and my aching tummy..

I get to advance my diet to full liquids today! So ready for something other than chicken broth. I was sleeved on the 9th and have had zero problems so far, so I have my fingers crossed that I will make this transition smoothly. Never thought runny cream of wheat Cereal would be so appealing haha!

@ newme yes I have prescription pepcid and compazine but the nausea and heartburn continues even after I take these. this sounds crazy but I actually would rather be in pain than be sick to my stomach. i can handle pain but this nausea is making me nutty

As of right now I am on a cocktail of meds for 10 days. 2 of the meds I can't take within 7 days of surgery. I am okay canceling now. The pain from last night was unreal, I am glad it's finally under control. I will update soon with my new date. I may turn into a February sleever.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
