Am I The Only One Who Started To Hate The Taste Of Water?

Right after the surgery i started to feel like I can't stand to drink Water, every time I do it makes me gag and I have to choke it down.

I thought it was because of my new stomach and it will get better when i stop sipping.

Three days after the surgery i could drink more water than before but if i drink warm water or water that is sitting out of the freezer i feel like i will throw up also my stomach hurts for a while after.

The only way i found that i can drink water is if it was freezing cold!!! But am afraid that the freezing cold water is not good for my stomach... Can someone tell me if it was ok drinking ice cold water???

It's the only way i will have my water in!! please no one tell me to try crystal lite instead because the sickeningly sweet after taste of fake sugar makes me want to drink warm water LMAO :P

Is cold water bad for me? (i do sometimes feel the cold water as it goes down my chest and into my stomach but no pain just a bit of discomfort) :(

I too have the same problem. I'm 5 weeks out. I drink Vitamin Water Zero. They are sweetened with Stevia not artificial sweeteners. They too have to be very cold where before I could do room temp. It's strange. I'm still not getting all my fluids in and drink Gatorade to get electrolytes. Yesterday I felt thirsty for the first time and I was out. I picked up a slushy from Sonic and couldn't wait to have it...it was gross! I was so disappointed! :(

It does get better, hang in there!! I still drink my water very cold and i stopped testing other liquids for now, stick with the ones you like until this phase is over. Good luck
