Yes, I am three weeks out from surgery. I am on Actigall for the next six months since I still have my gallbladder. It really doesn't taste that bad, kinda reminded me of plastic, but I mixed it with applesauce. Our registered dietician said you can also mix it with some cool whip to mask the taste. After about 1 1/2 weeks I just started downing the whole capsule in applesauce. To be honest, one of my blood pressure meds and my Effexor tasted much, much worse.

BTW - Dr. Carlin is my surgeon also, it was Annette who told us to take it with coolwhip. I think babyfood applesauce worked just as well.

Hey how are you, you went in just before me right??? I was sleeved on election day. How are you doing? are you on pureed yet? talk to me sista!

Just starting the third stage. Taking it really slowly, bought some hummus and really crispy rice crackers today. Tried fish at the restaurant the other night but could only eat a tiny bit, chewed it up like crazy. Still having to fill in protein need with a couple of shakes a day, found a great chicken soup I ordered from Unjury. How are you doing?

Yes, unjury hands down has been excellent. The chicken soup saved me during the pre op diet. All I eat right now is yogurt and pudding and crm of wheat. What did you eat at stage 2-full liquids? Any Ideas for me......

I feel like I could return to work.......I know I shouldnt but I could.

Isnt Dr Carlin awesome? He is so reassuring and kind. I really like him and his staff.

What kind of activities are you doing? How much walking? It was easy over the weekend, it was so warm, but know with this freezing weather I am forced to bundle up or go in the basement on the treadmill......

Well, have a wonderful day, I am thinking of pulling out some Christmas decor and starting that.....I got bit by the Christmas Season bug at the craft show I went to the other day.

I just so happened to come in with a reply and have found some of my sleeve family! I was sleeved by Dr.Carlin on 6/12/12. I'm picking up my last script of actigall this week.
