Hello all! I am checking in 1 week post op! I am feeling great! I have been pain med free since Friday and feeling good! I started at 279.6, surgery weight 257, weighed today at 248 totaling 31.6lbs! I am so excited! My goal was 40 by Christmas, but the rate things are going I may need to adjust my goal a little! My husband already noticed my face thinning out and my jeans I wore to church yesterday were baggy! NSV! Loving my sleeve!

That's great, Imagine! Congrats!! I'm down a couple of lbs since the surgery but I feel like my stomach is pretty swollen still. I wonder when this will finally go down. So anxious for this to happen!

Thanks Boofster! I'm sure it will go down before you know it. After surgery I gained 10lbs that I re-lose in a couple days before I really started losing! One day at a time is my mantra!

Hope you are all doing well. I am doing so well it kind of scares me a little. Very little soreness as long as I don't try to overdo. I am able to drink with only occasional stomach cramps if I go too fast. No problem with Soups either. I eat one of the Soup to go cups at a setting. Do you think the lack of restriction is because it is a liquid? Guess that sounds kind if silly to worry about but sometimes I honestly wonder if he got it small enough. Just wondered how you all were doing with it.

What are you eating? I am still on full liquid and have been drinking Gatorade G2, Water with propel zero mixed in, pure Protein frosty shake or Cookies and cream Protein Shake. I am still having a hard time getting everything in but each day is better and better. I did breakdown and have a few bites of refried Beans today. I was so burned out of drinking that I needed something real. And I have to say those were the best refried beans I have ever tasted!!

I went to the doc this morning. I lost 10 lbs since surgery (thought it would be more but ok) and he said I could go up to mushies. I still had Soup for lunch because I was nervous about doing it. For dinner, I had some very mushed up cheese ravioli with sauce. I ate about one to one and a half ravioli (without the hard edges) before I was full. Tolerated it well. Might try an egg tomorrow morning. Nervous about that too - there are some people who have reported that eggs didn't agree with them. We shall see!! Tomorrow night I will try refried Beans. Never thought I'd be excited about that. LOL Hope you are all doing well!!

Hey Yall....I have only lost 8 pounds since surgery. I am happy with that I gained 8 after surgery, i also had Shrek hands but they are back to normal. I am having problems with acid reflux. I dont have trouble getting my Soups down but seem like i burp alot and at night when i lay down stuff comes back up in my throat. Hate that. I am getting bored with soups...I licked Peanut Butter off a spoon tonight...figured couldnt hurt me im not even getting 600 cals a day right now....anxious to move forward.

Are you taking Prilosec or similar meds? These usually help with that... :)

Hey Sel - Stall here too. Been the same weight (within one pound) for over a week, although I am down in inches. I went to the gym on Monday and will try to go today. Have a follow up with doc today - we'll see what he says about stalls (if anything). Just gotta press on, I guess! Hope you get Aunt Flo soon!!

Be prepared for it to possibly be a bad one. Mine came 9 days early and was horrible. But i find my PMS to be a little behind that. I'd love to plant my fist in people's faces. Just saying. I stalled out prior to the period, thru my period and came out of the stall a day or two later.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
