Wow, my doc says no carbonation EVER! Like the rest of my life!

did he say why? My surgeon says its absurd that it would stretch your sleeve-- obviously not a good idea until you're 100% healed

I stick to 1,000 a day. I was about 500 a day until I went on to proper food. We aren't obsessed with Protein Shakes in the uk we just eat normal food.

Wow, my doc says no carbonation EVER! Like the rest of my life!

My surgeon also said no caffiene, no carbonation and no alcohol. She did advise that alcohol can be consumed for speical occasions such as My brithday, New Years and christmas. The reason I'm not allowed carbonation is that it will expand my sleeve and I'm definitely not interested in that at all.

I find it so interesting that each doctor is different in their approach!

I'm 2 weeks out, have lost 43 pounds since the 21st of Feb. My intake is around 500-700 calories a day, but my Protein intake is already in the 60's and 70's due to my wanting to limit loss of muscle mass. My doctor has approved of my diet and is following along closely with what I'm doing.

I am at 800-900 cals a days, my surgeon wants me at 1000 but I'm on liquids still so it's hard. Protein is 60-70. I'm 11 days PO and lost 12lbs the first week and haven't lost any since day 8. Not sure what going on with that

I have zero restrictions since 3 months out. I eat anything I want- including carbonation. I have 3-5 beers per week. I drink sparkling Water everyday' date=' multiple bottles. My sleeve isn't larger necessarily-- its just right in my book, I am 15 months out so Its a whole different ball game for me. I could hardly eat 2 tablespoons of anything a month out. I still feel a lot of restriction, I can only eat for example 1 slice of pizza. pre-sleeve it was 6, easy. I am very happy I can eat reasonable amounts of food!! You will see it keeps getting better!!![/quote']

Could you share your height and sw? Your post is refreshing. Sometimes one can feel that if they eat over 700 cals they're failing lol. Very nice post:)

I am 9 weeks out. Average 800-1100 a day. 60-100 grams of Protein, 30-80 carbs. 35 grms of fat. Down 35 pounds. I have a few cheats here and there. But it makes u stall! So i am doing my best to not cheat for the full first 6 months. Hard!! I see my nut tomorrow, will see if a Skinnycow ice-cream bar is a cheat. Hope not. :(

I am starting week 6 today. I get between 500 - 700 calories most days. My highest day was 900. I still have a 150 calories, 21 grams Protein Shake for Breakfast. I then eat food for the rest of the day and if I am lacking Protein at the end if the day, I have another shake for dinner. I get a minimum of 60 grams protein but I shoot for 75. I keep the carbs below 30 although my Nut said I could have 40. I have lost 36 pounds. 16 pre-op and 20 post op.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
