I'm doing good-I've lost 21 since op Oct 11, but it's slowing down thus week definately but I feel smaller already! I started size 22 in August and fit into an 18 skirt and safari jacket today! Whoo-hoooo!! Minor setbacks, besides Hurricane Sandy: going back to work too soon and trying a sip ( less than a sip actually!) of spiked ciderand a tsp of buffalo chicken dip-on Sunday! Well, people tell you not to try this at home.. I didn't listen and was very I'll for about an hour! Live and learn, live snd learn! Don't worry, if scale doesn't move you are still shrinking in other wsts!

I was sleeved on Oct 23rd and started my mushy foods yesterday. I am struglling with trying to understand what full feels like. I consumed 3 oz of ff refried Beans last night with no issues but didn't feel the "full" feeling. I just stopped. Now in saying this, I have not been hungry. I am a little confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had my sleeve done Oct 23rd too. Congradulations!! I am having the same problem. I do the same thing you do. I found these little plates that you cook eggs in the microwave. It has 3 sections each one is 1.5 oz so I feel two of those up and do not eat any more then that. So far that works. I had to do something because I thought I was stretching my tummy.

I was sleeved October 3rd. I'm down 25 pounds plus 10 pounds from the pre-op diet. I had a couple of days of bad eating, but I'm back on track! I actually gained about 2 pounds, so now I'm down to my 35 pound weight loss. My new favorite lunch is 3 oz deli turkey and one slice laughing cow light Swiss cheese. I bring that for lunch to work everyday. I made some crustless ham and cheese quiches that I bring for Breakfast. I eat 2-4 of them. They are about 40 calories a piece. I'm aiming for 600 calories, but sometimes I don't make it. I do try though!

I really feel like this is one of the best decisions I've ever made!

I was sleeved October 1. I'm down 26 post op add that to my 26 preop and I'm 52 pounds down. I know 26 is great but if I started exercising I'm sure things would go smoother. I'm currently not exercising at all ans still having trouble getting liquids down(slap on the wrist)

I was also sleeved on Oct 3rd and have lost 25 lbs. Went from a size 18 to 14 and I couldn't be happier. I struggled with my Water intake the first few weeks. It made me sick to my stomach but I found that adding some sf Torani Syrup made a world of a difference and I've been good since then. Thanks for the Breakfast idea of the quiches. I forgot about those!

Sleeved 10/22 and doing good. From 2 weeks pre-op til now, I'm down 45 total. I think I hit my first plateau today, though, because there was nary a lost pound on the scale this morning. My biggest problem has been finding things to eat that don't make me sick.

I was sleeved on Oct. 16...so far so good...the "REAL" food is hard to get down...I definitely get the full feeling after about 3 bites of any meat...so I have learned to slow down, use the baby fork or spoon, an enjoy my bites...I lost 15 Pre-op 20 Post-op...so far so good...just started the exercise thing this week...still needing to find energy...but I love my sleeve!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
