Well I'm 2days post op and I wish I could say their is no pain but I can't first and foremost if you are big all the way around like my self it would be good to let the doctor know to some how get your body to lay even on the operating table if not you will have terrible back pain like my self.my back hurts so bad I can't even tell if my stomach hurts.but over all dr.quiones and his staff was top shelf without question by me being so big I could feel every spring and rail in that hospital bed so the brought me back to the hotel to a real bed

Hang in there! I was very tired for the first 5 weeks. Just make sure you get your fluids in, no matter how long it takes. You will start to feel normal soon!

How's everyone doing??? I am feeling so great lately - finally seeing the changes in my clothes (down from a size 22 to a 16) and so many people are noticing, which feels great. Anyone have any tips for getting to the gym more frequently? That's definitely where I need to start buckling down more. Before/Today pic below.

Tara, you look amazing!! So great. I'm down 30 since surgery on 11/19, having a ball and feeling great.

WOW you look great!! Congrats and keep up the great work! I'm down 33 since my surgery on 11/15. I think that is pretty good considering I can't exercise yet due to a complication I had. Not with the stomach, but with a muscle, they think I have either a muscle tear or what they are calling a rectus muscle hematoma...or a muscle hernia. Unfortunately all the tests done so far show nothing. Very Frustrating, but at least I'm losing! Down from a 18 to a 14.

You are gorgeous!!! What day did you have your surgery? I had mine Nov 6, and am down over 50lbs already---similar to your stats (according to your ticker).

My advice for getting to the gym is to just do it. I know, that doesn't sound like great advice...but that's really what you've got to do. Maybe find a work-out buddy? If that's not an option, maybe you could find someone who also had surgery--whether in real life or online--who can be an "accountability buddy" or something like that?

Have you found activities and exercises that you enjoy? Or does it all feel like a chore?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
