Recommended Posts

Date of surgery: 9/24/12

Surgery weight: 222

Current weight: 202 - in my first stall

Thanksgiving goal: 190

Stall broken! 196.5 - that leaves 6.5 lbs before Thanksgiving. I am starting Zumba this week so hopefully that is acheivable.

I set a fairly ambitious goal of 11 lbs. To meet my challenge I need to lose 6 lbs from now till Thanksgiving, which is 9 days. I may pull off 3, but 9 is not looking possible. A stall didn't help things.

But no matter what, I've lost, which is a win.

I have no idea what rate I will lose weight as I get closer to goal - this may be far too ambitious. But I'm going to go for it!

I am doing my best - not 100% sure I will make it.

Pre-surgery Wt: 235.8

Surgery 7/9/12

Weight at Surgery: 208.5

11/1: 166.4 (bouncing around this week)

11/8: 161.2

11/15: 161.4

Challenge Goal: 155

Big loss then hit a wicked stall. But I'm dedicated to the Water, upping the Protein, and maintaining the exercise. I have my 4-month check in today so I'll be looking for some guidance there. I'll get at least close to my goal so I'm headed to the Christmas Challenge to set one there.

Best of luck to all this final week. Gobble gobble!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
