A Couple Of Questions....

Hi Everyone......I have my surgery next Thursday and I thought of a couple of questions. I was told that usually after surgery and fo rthe first year or so the stomach holds about 6-8 ounces. Is this true? And also...I was also told that total calories after surgery for generally the first year also are around 600 - 800. True also? Any information will be appreciated. My head is spinning.....

You'll definitely see your intake increase the further you get along post surgery. I'll be 10 months since my sleeve next week, and I can definitely eat more than I could in the beginning. I'm not sure on exact numbers or ounces, but I can just tell my body can handle more (still nothing compared to pre-sleeve or a non-sleeved person, but more.) I, in some ways, welcome the ability to eat a little more because I feel like I'm able to get more vitamins, minerals, and all around nutrition from food and that just makes me feel a little more secure. Or maybe I'm just crazy. Either way. :) Good luck!

I am 2 months out and am between 800-900 calories daily. Have DR and NUT appointment next week and hope to increase to 1000 since I am weight lifting 4 days per week.
