The dress is gorgeous and you will be gorgeous in it... don't worry, June is a long time away. I have to take this just for today. Part of looking good is feeling good about yourself and I think by then you will be very confident in yourself and can pull this off even if you are not the smallest size in the world.

Libra, the dress is very pretty, you'll look great in it by June. Hope we get to see some pics. Your chili sounds so good, but my Dr doesn't allow any Beans :cry . I love beans especially kidney beans, he says way too many carbs.

Thanks for the support guys!! I just saw that dress and totally panicked!!! I'm sure I can get to a reasonable weight by June. I may not be at my ideal weight but I'm sure I'll be feeling pretty good about myself by then.

You know, It's been so long since I wore something that I felt good in, that I just can't imagine it happening.

Stay postitive, stay positive, stay positive.

Hey gals,

I am on vacation in Outer Banks, NC that's why I haven't on the boards much. I flew here so whoever asked about flying, you will be just fine. I will say that I fit in the seat much better than I did two months ago. =)

My September goal was really ridiculous. I wanted to be around 199 for my trip here, I got down to 207, which was 12 pounds for the month. I am happy with that and my October goal is onederland! =) So 8 pounds.

I am soooooo addicted to my scale and I am going crazy here without it. I don't have a fill and there is food Everywhere here. I feel like I am grazing all day long. I wish I knew how much I weighed so I would know if I needed to be careful. At meals, I am definitely not eating much. For example, one slice of pizza, or one hotdog no bun with a few doritos. My best friend definitely noticed that I am not eating very much and she asked me if anything was wrong. She is used to seeing me "pig out".

Keep up the good work everyone. By the way, whoever said they only lost 8 pounds, I still think that is very good weight loss. It is recommended to only lose 2 pounds a week. Everyone on here knows how you feel about wanting "more" gone. I visualize the skinny me all the time. I keep teasing my friends that next year I won't "float" in the pool so easily. ha ha ha.

Wow! It seems a lot of us have some "dress up" occasions coming up!! We definitely need pictures from everyone!

BTW, that dress comes in sizes up to a 28, I'm hoping to be at around a 20 by then. I've upped my exercise to five days a week from three!! I'm motivated!!!

Faybie, I can totally relate to your scale addiction. I keep saying I'm only gonna weigh myself twice a week, but I get on it nearly every morning!! LOL!! Step away from the scale....

I'm addicted to my scale also. It's horrible! Atleast I'm now only weighing first thing in the morning instead of all day long. hehehe.

I had my first PB this morning and it was awful!!! two bites of corned beef hash and I felt it stuck...then I started slimming and ran to the bathroom where I had to spit into the toilet several times before the food finally came up. Ahhhhhhhh..sweet relief. Now I'm eating oatmeal and I'm having Soup for lunch. The fill seems to be working!

Libra..you're going to look AWESOME by June. I love that dress. I don't have an occasion to dress for but kind of wish I did.

Hi, my name is Tracey and I'm a scale addict. :) I weigh myself every day. Always in the morning, and usually at night before bed too. Yes, I am obsessed. :) I so need to stop and just weigh myself once a week.

okay so I am pretty sure that the fill is working, I never had a problem eating Pasta until today, nothing came back up but it gurgled like it wanted to!! I only got in about 4 small bites of pasta and I was full, before the fill I was eating like 1/2 cup (and about 2 cups presurgery LOL) I was worried that the fill wasnt going to work since he took some out but I think it is really helping! I am trying not to weigh myself as much anymore and I havent since Monday!!!! Its hard but I think it will be rewarding when I get on again...

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
