Any September 4Th Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Sept 6th. Eating light. No beef yet Deli turkey, chicken, salmon, tuna. Soft vegs. No breads, starches or sugars for me. Still drinking Protein Shakes daily. Plenty of Water but missing my Protein goal I am sure. Trying chicken brocoli cheese bake tonight. Good restriction. Haven't thrown up or had much pain. Did try a bean nacho (with chip) surely my imagination but felt it scratching even after I chewed and chewed. No more chips for a while...

...And how are you doing?

Oh yeh, down 13 since surgery but 33 since pre op.

I had surgery on the 13th of Sept. Still eating pureed chicken, fish, veggies and eggs. Yogurt and applesauce in between if need be. Haven't tried anything other than what has been on my Menu. Feel great and down 25 lbs. since Sept. 13th! Hope you are doing good.

Sounds like we're basically at the same stage of foods. I'm feeling pretty good but sure I'm lacking getting all my Proteins in as well. Hit a stall about a week ago & haven't lost weight since then. I'm down a total of 25 lbs. hopefully this stall won't last long.

Sleeved 9/4! Eating pretty much anything but very very slowly. Haven't had any beef or pork but have had some small bites of chicken and turkey. Today had Jennie-O turkey deli meat with a tsp. of guacamole rolled up in it - yum! But go slowly.

Down 28 lbs since pre-op diet. I've been at a stall for 2 weeks too, but I know it'll eventually come off. Averaging 700-800 kcal/day.

I was sleeved the 7th, we have about the same weight loss and eating the same things. I've been naughty and cheated a little, but I'll tell you, it isn't always a good outcome! I'm supposed to be only on pure ends til this Friday, but I eat turkey, cheese, chicken Soups, tuna and egg salad, ground turkey, tonight I had haddock, are you on myfitnesspal? M tekara3927, we could both share what were eating. I follow a lot of people and get awesome ideas. :)

Yes, I'm on fitness pal...I just started logging today. I will say, the scale hasn't moved in a week, but I have dropped 2 pant sizes since surgery. I must be losing inches & not weight. Trying hard to only weigh myself once a week. I'm no longer eating puréed foods. My stomach has tolerated chicken, fish, turkey, fat free cheeses, garden burgers, etc.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
