I Feel As Though I Am Going To Fail At This Like All The Other Times... Any Encouraging Words?!?

Hi Everyone:

I am due to have my surgery on October 9th. I have been preparing for this day since May and now I am second guessing myself. I feel as though I am going to fail just as I did many times before. I am stressed about gaining weight back even before I have lost it. I want to my Nutritionist visit yesterday and she told me that if half her patients were as dedicated as me, they would all be successful. I don't see myself as a success. I need to change my mindset but don't know how. I know I have done everything that was asked of me and then some but I am feeling down in the dumps. What is wrong with me? Did anyone go through this? Talk to me VST family!!! God bless and take care...

Thank you so much for the pep talk. I really appreciate it. I plan to work hard and make this dream a reality. I want to be healthy, look and feel great, be more energetic, have a wonderful life without meds or atleast drastically minimize what I am taking now. I can't help genes but I plan to do whatever it takes to fight for a healthy, new me!

I also have to add since looking back at my original post' date=' I don't advocate that you cheat like I did. I was anxious to get back to work quickly, so I progressed through my diet much quicker than I should have. But once again, I didn't do it right in the beginning, but that also didn't cause me to fail either.[/quote']

Thanks for this paragraph. I am 5 weeks now.

I too went back to work and was anxious to be "normal" -- now I'm in a stall (which I know is normal!) but I'm afraid I didn't do just liquids long enough, I'm afraid I've killed the honeymoon, I'm afraid I'm eating too much compared to the people who are never hungry.

I work and have 2 little kids, carting one of them to/from school in the AM/PM, then dinner... It's not so easy to find time workout, but I know I need to.

Don't worry about it, you Got this!!
