As the title says. About 5 yrs. ago I too out a $500,000 term life policy due to me being so overweight I felt like I was going to die any minute. I wanted my wife and kids to be took care of if something did happen. I had close to $100,000 with my job plus close to another $100,000 in my 401k so I figuared I'd take that much to be safe. But with me 5'10" and 350lbs they charge me 101 a month where I was 35 when I took it out (40 now) it should have been around $30 to $40 a month. So if I meet my goal ill have if re done and at 60 a month extra I had to self pay at $8000 it should pay me back in 11 yrs. I know it's a silly thing to think of but it has bothered me to have to do this operation for something I've did in the past on my own. (Losing weight) so now I can look at it as an investment with an 11 yr return.
