    September Was Your Progress?

4weeks pre op 356lbs Day of surgery 308lbs sept 19th Today Jan 7th 255lbs 101lbs down Personal goal 200lbs 55lbs to go. Doctors goal is me in a large t shirt haven't been there since 4th grade. Can't see that happening not sure if I want it to.
  3. Lol if I was going to make up a story it would have been better than that. For what reason would I need to make that up any way? Everyone has there on beliefs and views I was just giving an example that I know first hand about.
  4. Sorry that is just a debate that has came up time and time again around me and It triggers a responce from me each time.
  5. Ok I don't mean to step on any toes. But my wife's sister and her husband (Neither were virgins) waited to have sex due to the religious beliefs until after marriage. They were recently Saved before meeting. (Pentecostal) But after the honey moon She came back home crying because it wasn't very magical. They've been married now for 16years because marriage is a one time thing with there beliefs (and I agree married 15 yrs. myself i have an awesome wife) But her sister and husband have been miserable for 16 years and stopped having sex after the first year when she got preagnant they'll both tell that was the last time. I also know another young couple same thing both were virgins they've been married about 6 months now and things aren't going to good in that dept at all. I was not a virgin when I got married and neither was my wife but if nothing else was going to be guaranteed in our marriage sexual compatibility was because we tested it for 2 years before we got married avg. 3 to 4 times a day. (We were young) now it's just 2 times a day Working back up to 3 to 4 a day since I've lost 98lbs in the last 6 months. I would hate to get married not knowing if that part is going to be good. For men as you know it's crucial although my wife's right there with me. to me why have the possibility of extra stress after getting married. I agree try it before you buy it for life.

    6 Weeks 2 Days Postop.

I'm in the same boat right now sleeved sept 19th was 352lbs before preop was 310lbs day of surgury I'm 8 weeks today and I'm 272lbs now but haven't lost a pound in over 2 weeks my personal goal is 200lbs doctors goal is 170lbs ( not happening) I use to weight 190lbs and look sick. But the stall worries me. I hope I start back soon.
  7. Mine was 3 weeks 3 16oz protein shakes a day 0 chewable food. I would have lived your diet. I did it though.

    Lifting

Lol I was told nothing over 15lbs for six weeks to make sure the staple line was healed good. I'm 4 weeks now and my incisions are still healing (almost done) so I'm assuming the staple line is still healing the last thing you want is to rupture anything.
  9. I'm 4 weeks post op and having a hard time getting in enough protein calories and fluids. If I eat chicken I can eat a 1/4 of a chicken breast and I'm done. And that's if it doesn't get stuck I'm averaging 400 to 500 calories a day. And fluids are only 36 to 64ozs I have stalled as well I can't seem to eat as much as I did to start with. I'm backed up i haven't had a BM in a week and a half but I feel like I need to. Any advice would be appreciated Lloyd

    Not Feeling The Full Effect?

Trust me me and a lot of others felt the same way I'm 3.5 weeks out now and the first real food was pork tenderloin and up until then I questioned if they even did anything to me other than put holes. But a bite and a half of tenderloin and I was done liquids and mushys don't do it but solids will show you.

    Baked Flounder

I tried broiled flounder the other day 3 weeks out got 1/2 of a fillet down and laid real heavy wasn't happy about it. That was one if my favorite foods pre op I will try again later but now it is rough on me.
  13. I must have quit producing grehlin years before I had surgury. come to think of it I may have been born without it.
  14. Well actually only 3 weeks so it may still happen. Lol well I started reading different posts concerning memory loss and the sleeve. And it really worried me but I actually contribute it maybe due to vitamin deficiency from when a person is first sleeved they struggle to get enough and also the huge calorie carb reduction as well.
  15. Not to make fun but my memory had already gotten so bad pre op i remembered hardly anything short term. It did scare me that post op it would be worse. But so far mine has been a pretty consistent bad.
  16. Is it normal 3 weeks out to wake up each morning with stomach pain. Not gas it's a dull to sometimes intense pain after I'm up and moving for an hour or so it disappears. Normal?

Men: Telling "the Guys" About Your Surgery

Lol another example of guys thinking alike I started to post the exact same thing for him to tell them.
  19. I'm 3 weeks out and every time I hiccup it hurts does this get better? The only time I have any pain is when I drink one swallow to much or I hiccup which is becoming more frequent. Just wondering if its common and does it go away.

Men: Telling "the Guys" About Your Surgery

I just told them and my buddies sound alot like yours. But I started with guys I'm going to be gone for a couple weeks I'm having surgery. That stopped the smart ass remakes for a moment until after I told them what it was. They ask me why and I told them I wanted to live it see grand kids and I'm not going to make it like I am now. Had one (which he's terrified of needles) said no bodies cuttin on me I don't care how big I am. But they were actually supportive.
