Doing pretty good. Some pain but am getting pain meds as often as I can. Walking pretty good. Can't have liquids until I have an upper gi in the morning to check for leaks. Dry mouth is killing me but I'm managing. My 18 yr old daughter is staying with me tonight and she is taking awesome care of me!!

My check-in was 7:30, surgery at 9:30. I did the same as you and slept most of the day. My first walk was at 5. Passed my upper GI at 8:30 and was in Clear Liquids. Dr said I have to drink 4 of those 1oz cups of Water in an hour... dis that now working in my Protein. If I can finish them I can go hone tonight. Found out that cold drinks cramp my sleeve. :(

She did fine. She napped in recovery but otherwise you would have never known she had surgery. She was a little sore this AM, but this evening seemed fine. Glad to see others are home and recovering well. Good luck everyone.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
