My first stall lasted for 3 weeks and that included my TOM. It did not go up at all and before surgery I would gain 4 or 5 pounds during my TOM.

Sweetie that's .75 lbs per day average ! That's awesome keep doing what your doing . Be diligent with your food and exercise journal so if loss isnt consistent your nut has facts not best you can remember. If you bite it write it! Oh one more thing, start weighing once monthly you will always see scale moving down!

I had my surgery the day before yours and I've lost 11lbs since surgery. But nothing for almost 2 weeks. I was feeling totally bummed about this but I know I've lost inches. However, now that I've seen your post I know it's not just me! Guess we'll both be waiting out the stall...

My first stall lasted for 3 weeks. I was so frustrated but during that time my clothes started to fit me better.

My first stall lasted 2 wks. Then I started losing again for 2 wks then another 2 wk stall! I don't have much to lose, but it was still very upsetting. I stopped weighing myself every day and that really helped. My dr also advised me to increase my Protein. My TOM really affects the loss, I've realized so I'm trying to prepare myself for another short stall.

Sounds like you are in the infamous 3 week stall period sweetie. Hang in there. This journey can be a long, arduous one... remember this mantra: THIS TOO SHALL PASS. Keep your eye on the goal, do what the guidelines say (I highly suggest "tweaking" these as a possible stall breaker: logging your intake {watch the caloric total}, exercise {60-90 mins a day), Water {min 64 oz} and focus on protein/keeping carbs low) and the weight loss will come.

My most frustrating one was getting below 200. I wanted that 199 so stinking bad, lol. I think it lasted 3 weeks. Seemed like FOREVER grrrrr.

When I get into stalls, I usually measure myself. Try focusing on something else like your measurements or how your clothes fit or where your activity level was before and after some loss, where it is now. Those are just as important milestones; however, we generally don't concentrate our focus on them. We look so much at the scale. Well put that scale away (I had to hide mine for a while and only allow it to be brought out once a week, I thankfully have a wonderful hubby who played that game with me lol).

The weight loss will come, be patient, but be diligent in following the guidelines and I promise it will come. Best of luck to you! xxx

My first stall was after my second week - and the stall lasted for almost 5 weeks. When my stall ended I lost 12 lbs the next two weeks. It all evens out, just give it time.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
