Same here! How much do you have to lose? I was sleeved 7/31 and have only lost about 20 lbs' date=' but since I only have 60-70 to lose, I guess it's normal. Dr said I was on track. I hit a stall for 2 weeks during weeks 3-4 too.[/quote']

At the minimum I need to lose 65 more pounds. Wow that sounds pretty good considering I used to have to lose over 100. :) I started this whole journey in August 2011. 43 pounds total lost.

I call myself the slowest loser. Surgery 02/09/12. I was losing about an average 1 lb a week. I know it's frustrating but keep working it. At about 5-6 mos post op the weightloss has pretty much stopped but thats when the magic started. I'm shrinking. Going down sizes and looking much thinner. So keep eating right & exercising. It'll happen.

It's the worst feeling ever. I'm thankful for losing slow but then it bothers me. I mean I basically lost 16 pounds each month and I think I broke must all today, we shall find out. I'm 217 today and really wanted to be at 205 at two months out.

I'm disappointed in my weight loss so far too' date=' although it's only been a week. I have followed the program and only lost 4 lbs. Ordinarily that would seem like a lot, but given how little food I've had, I expected more. Plus if the early post op is when weight drops the quickest, not so great. My biggest fear was that I'd be a slow loser and maybe that's the way it's going to be :( Nice to have support though and others who can commiserate.[/quote']

Im just curious, being only one week out are you on liquids or food?

I was sleeved on July 26th and I'm so scared this is TOO slow. With my preop I've lost 26 pounds. So many people have lost so much more. I'm really bothered by this. When I went in for my 3 week check I was on track according to my Dr.but now 3 weeks later I've lost very little more. Scared <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Ok now I'm down 31 pounds :). Nice big drop. Feeling good!! Add 16 before preop and now total is 47. The 16 was to be eligible to have the surgery and that began last August. Feeling inspired again. l

I am pre op and i predict to be a slow loser. I am ok with this as it may mean less loose skin! Have you noticed any yet? As long as i lose i will be happy. I am hoping for 2 lbs a week. What is everyone averaging per week??

Slow and steady wins the race. My weight loss has been slow, but the change in my body has been dramatic. And, I feel awesome!!

I am in the same place. I really am trying to be more upbeat about this whole thing. Trying not to compare myself to others. But sometimes...

I would be happy with 10lbs a month.

Yes I've notices loose skin but I also read that your body needs time to adjust and some of that improves. 3.6 average per week if I count preop.

  • I'm worried that I'm not losing enough, too. I had my sleeve done on July 16th and I've only lost 26 pounds total. That includes what I lost on the pre-op liquid diet.... I'm trying to watch my calories and exercise when I can but it's frustrating. I thought the weight loss would be a lot quicker.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
