Hi Kris, I have Oxford Health Plan with United Health Care. When my doctor submitted all the paper work it all went well and I was approved within days. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Thank you guys . Just feel like I am going threw alot to get this . Did you guys have trouble with you band ? My band wad fine no eros. No slips just I myself only got 4 cc in a 6 year period . The 4 cc made me threw up all the time plus bad releux plus it was messing up my teeth per denist so my doctor wants it out . Plus I only lost 40 lbs in a 6 year period . Did u guys have to do a swallow test and a upper gi ? Are u guys happy with your sleeve?

I found out my band had slipped after i had and upper GI. Had my band to sleeve surgery on Aug.16th and I love my sleeve!!

I had no official slippage on my band or erosion or anything else. It just sucks and I haven't lost weight. I was denied revision. now trying to figure out what to do. BCBS.

Lots of people on this site go to Mexico. It's much cheaper. I've seen prices from $4500 to $7500. Dr. Alverez seems to be very popular. I have his book and he seems to know a lot.

Good luck to you.

I also have united health care. I was nervous because m requirement was a five year history of a bmi of 40 and I didnt have it but I gave them as much information as I could and I was approved in 3 days.
