For those with concerns and worry about how to handle things post surgery as a mother... I think that the work is alot less since having surgery. My 12 year old is getting a mom who is healthier and more capable. He's seeing a mom that is happier and more motivated. I feel like doing more house work, activities and going places. Prior to my surgery I was grumpy and tired all the time..quite moody. I didn't want to leave the house out of fear that people would stare at me (my own insecurities) and running into old friends to see them shocked at seeing me at my worst..and I just felt lazy..like it was too much work to do much of anything.

I do focus more on the food that we eat and have to put a little more effort into planning meals but that is something I should've been doing all along. I think having the surgery has made me a better mom..I'm more positive and energetic and my kids have noticed and are happy for me and I'm sure for themselves.
