Weight Goal Challenge For New Year's Day

Recommended Posts

Ok I swear I had already updated here somewhere but can't find it so here goes! Today I was 111.2. So well below my goal of 117. I haven't been doing well with walking or maybe I should say keeping track of how often I walk. It turned cold and I mostly walk around Walmart or run other errands and make extra laps around the stores. It's working for me so I am ok with that.

copying over from MFP...

Yay! I want to join too! I have a few goals, I would like to be 117 lbs by 1/1 - that is around 6 lbs. I am in a normal BMI just barely and want to be more solid. I want to enjoy the holidays (I was on a feeding tube last year) but not go overboard. I want to continue to walk at least 5 days a week. This week I began taking my lunch at 10:30 and 2 breaks together at 1:30 and walking about a mile on one - would like to do it on both. I know once it starts getting dark earlier it will be too easy to just not walk at night!

HW = 232 SW = 227

VSG = 08/17/12

Wk 1 (12/07) = 182

Wk 2 (12/14) = 179

Wk 3 (12/21) = 177.6

Wk 4 (12/28) = 176.4

Final (01/01/13) = 176.6

So 174 is being so evasive...I been gunning for this goal for about a month now...Now really happy about how things working themselves out but I am going to say encouraged...On to the next challenge. I am participating in the Valentine day challenge...hoping to make it to 160 by then...With refocused eating habits and exercise (which I have not done for the past month) then I think my goal is very doable...

Thanks for the challenge!

Sleeve date: July 3/12

Starting weight: 227

Current weight: 189

Goal weight (New Year): 177

I seem to be a slow loser' date=' but this will be the 50 pound mark for me :)

Well I guess I made it. I was 174. I had reset my goal to 172 as this would have brought me to below my husband's weight. It does nothing for a woman to weigh more than her husband. But I fell two pounds short. I'll try to be happy that I surpassed my initial goal :) Now to find another challenge thread.

Well I think I was a bit too optimistic!!! I came within 7# of my goal. In the meantime, I did hit several personal goals...1) lowest weight since I was married (almost 17 years ago...even with numerous dieting attempts in between)...2) weigh less then hubby!!!...3) feel in control of my life for 1st time in more years then I care to admit...4) don't recognize myself in the mirror due to loss (used to be the other way..didn't recognize due to my size).

I have to say that this journey is filled with a mixture of so many emotions...happiness, excitement, nervousness, fear, etc. I wish all of us continued support & success on our journey to healthier & happier lives.

Final New Year's weigh-in = 202

So officially stand at approx. 66# lost since surgery (7/17) & 76# total since Dec 2011.

So hoping I hit onderland before my birthday on January 17th!!!!

I am so for this challenge. As of yesterday morning I am 194.4lbs, my goal for New Years Day is 160lbs which I haven't seen in 17yrs. Once I get there I will re-evaluate things and decide if I want to stay at that weight or shoot for the last 20lbs before my 1yr post op appt w/my surgeon in March.

So I am just now being able to post my New Year's Weight...Although I did not reach my goal, I am still down 16.4lbs from where I started in September with this. As of this morning I am 178lb and that puts me 18lbs from my goal. I had a rough holiday and was sick from Christmas up until now and I am still not 100% but I still have a little over 2 months until my 1yr out and I plan to have met goal by March 13th.

I too have my surgiversary 3/13 and I hope to be down another 20lbs. I was 174 this morning so I didn't make my New Years goal of 172lbs.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
