Went for my post-op visit yesterday and got moved to phase 4 puree! Although I still haven't felt a hunger pain, I was starting to feel sloshy and waterlogged and was super excited to try some food. I had tuna, greek yogurt, chicken, and a Protein shake and managed to get all my Protein and Fluid in...i feel so accomplished :)

I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks and lots of inches. My surgeon said I should expect bigger loss now that I am adding food and i actually lost 2 more lbs this morning.

Enough about me, how is everyone else doing from mid-August?

LOL!!! Slooshy & waterlogged!! Boy, can I relate! I'm on week one of Full liquids ( sleeved 8/21) and those words are perfect! I'm trying to be creative....but there's really only so much one can do on liquids.

Congrats on the weight & inches loss!!! I'm seeing inches, but the scale is stuck.

I'm right there with you!!! I was sleeved on 8/22/12 and finally get to see my surgeon today!! I'm praying I get moved to puree/smooth/soft foods, I'm feeling so sluggish, in a fog and just ready to taste something. I too haven't been (hungry) per say but just needing more than liquids.

You have done great!!! Keep up the pace and kudos to you!!!

Good luck and God Bless!!!

BTW, I bought a submersible blender yesterday at costco for $28. Best purchase ever!!! I blended cream of brocolli Soup into a total liquid in a minute, no chunks. And it tasted exactly the same. Today I'm going to the store and buying different chunky Soups and gonna blend my way thru this phase. :-)

Waterlogged in Texas!

Today is day 2 of the puréed foods stage and yesterday I made chicken in my crockpot so I can make chicken tacos. I ate 1/4 cup of blended chicken with a little bit of shredded cheese. let me tell you - that was the best tasting food I've had in weeks! I took my time waiting for something to happen and so grateful all went down well. My kids thought I was crazy to eat as slow and my husband kept checking to see I if I was ok and had enough to eat. We get this mentality that we want to eat everything in front of us and when we see how little we really need it's eye opening.

In terms of weight loss. I kind of slowed down but yesterday I saw a few of my dearest family members and they said my stomach went down a lot! So I guess I must have lost some inches. I haven't measured myself and guess I'm gonna have to do that instead of weighing myself. Btw, I was sleeve 8/14, down 16 pounds.

Hope to hear and see less of you! Best wishes to all this week!

I'm excited that everyone is excited for the puree phase! I was sleeved 8/20/12, and my post op isn't until 8/6, but I'm already fantasizing about tuna and chicken and basically anything that isn't a Protein Drink. I'm down 12lbs in the 10 days since surgery, and I'm feeling great! I didn't expect to be up and about and ready to get back to life so soon.

Glad everyone is doing fine... My date was Aug 21 and already I'm down 272.4 from 288.8 so I'm really happy about that 15 lbs. And today I'm going to start my zumba.

I love how positive this group is! Soon enough we will be eating more normally, in the meantime we make the best of it.

Have a great day :)

I was sleeved aug 21st and don't get to start puréed until week 5. Hoping when I see my doc next week for my post op appt they may let me move on faster. I've never eaten this many Popsicles in my life. Lol jealous of everyone losing the inches. I'm down from 221 at surgery day to 209 today, definitely happy about the weight ive lost but wanna see my inches go away too.

I'm 4 weeks out and haven't lost weight for 2 weeks. I was sleeved 8/7 from 179 now 165. I've been eating 1000-1200 calories daily. I workout everyday and weights every other day. Not sure what I'm doing Wrong..

Im right there with you... I was sleeved the same day. Only thing is im having a veey hard time getting in all my Protein, calories, and fluids in. I feel like im failing at this... I know it will all get better but i definitely feel like my sleeve is a full time job right now :-\ i dont think ive lost more since my one week follow up idk. I know im still losing inches cause i can see it in my clothes but its a mental thing i guess when lbs arent being lost. What do you eat to get all your calories in? How is your routine of how you get what you need in a day? Im struggling so much because i get full so quick like 4 tiny bites of refried Beans and im full. :-\ at this rate ill never get all my calories in. And then the whole waiting time to eat and drink makes it hard for me to get all my liquids in.

Wow!! I don't get full quick. I honestly think it bc I had the Lap band. Dr removed it the same day as as I was sleeved.. I'll eat a little more than 1/4 of a cup of refried Beans with 1 slice of cheese(muenster) and 1tbs of home made salsa verde and I'll be good for 3 hours , then have my protien shake... And so on.. I have lost inches.. I was a size 14 now I'm a 12.. I guess I'm going to lose it more slow becuase I'm not a virgin to wls? Good luck to u. I'm going to schedule an appointment to see the nut.. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
