Miralax is a laxative, it softens ur stools and makes u go easily but it can take 2-4 days to work I had to take it yesterday and today and surgery tomorrow it's only makin my stomach gurgle so I wonder if it's for after surgery to help me! Lol

The stuff they are having me take is called GoLytely. Love the name. I think they lied...lol. I basically have to drink 4 quarts of this drink in 4 hours the night before, which is tonight. I'm having a hard time getting that much liquid down in that amount of time. Oh well, it could be worse. Luckily I am not suffering from painful cramps or anything.

Hey guys! I'm doing so good! I was sleeved on oct.3 I would say the first 3 days are rough but today I actually went to the mall & went shopping for about 2 hours. Now my back was hurting pretty bad but my stomach doesn't. I even took a bath last night & tonight. Just Water right under my belly button but it felt so nice! Wasn't hard to get out either... There is no pain or discomfort in my stomach anymore. Protein is so hard getting in! Water isn't that bad. Any advice on protein? Or things to eat?

Four days out from surgery and I am sorry to report that I'm one of the folks with pain after coming home. Not a ton and not unmanageable' date=' but if you hurt afterwards don't worry. We're all (mostly) normal.

I have yet to be actually hungry, but I want to smell everyone's food! I don't want anything more than a good long sniff. How are our other post-sleevers doing?[/quote']

I'm 5 days post op & I hear ya...food smells so good. I'm not in any pain my back just hurts a little

I am getting nervous, first off I get sleeved Oct 24 and have appointments on Oct 18, nothing yet on preop diet. I will be put on the liquid diet and will have to drink miralx or whatever. I hear a lot of you are on liquid diets for 2 weeks. My doc had said nothing about this. I have been eating foods I should not be eating but I feel like someone on death row getting my last meal. I hope my liver has time to shrink. I guess my doc knows what he's doing.

Tomorrow starts my protien shake only 2 week diet. Had my food funeral last night so started the shakes a day early. Day one wasn't miserable :) Hoping I can keep my mind right for the rest of the two weeks. Surgery on the 23rd! Good luck and best wishes to all of my fellow October sleevers!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
