What is your current fill in your 4cc band?

Recommended Posts

Well how are you doing now? Did you get an unfill?

I had .25cc taken out on Monday. I feel lots better. Thanks so much for asking! I'm still really nervous about trying different foods, because I still have a lot of restriction. I'm just being careful.

Best news is that I am totally off Blood Presure meds! I have been on 1-2 different BP meds for many years. ^_^

Brandy, keep up the great work. You are an inspiration!

3.6 in a 4.0 band but they said I have a 5cc band limit. I am just starting to feel restriction for the first time where I can't eat bread, etc. I have had no problems with any foods until now since my surgery.

ljuht115 - I also have the 4cc band. I had a fill last Wed. that brought me up to 2.5cc. then added .5 cc on Fri. (I have to travel a long way to get fills so I try to get it tweaked as much as possible while in Anchorage). So, 3.0cc seems to be doing the trick for me. I haven't tried bread because food in general is a little difficult to eat - more than a few bites anyway (which is the way I like it right now). I CAN, however, drink soda...go figure?! It is a strange thing, this band. I'm just hoping to be on the losing end soon!

I'd be careful with the soda, Marcy. My doctor advises not drinking any at all. As I understand it, the problem is not in keeping it down or having problems drinking it, it's the fact that the carbonation can sit in the stomach and as it expands it puts pressure on the band (or stoma) and can cause slippage. That's how my dr. explained it. FYI.

OK, I am tired of this plateau.

I am going in for a fill.

Have one booked for Oct 22. I am going to ask for .1 or .2.

Currently at 3.0.

I had 2cc in a 4cc band I was going the wrong way (eating to much) so I went for another fill and the put in another cc. At 3cc's I suliva was making me pb Thank god for unfills. I was so dehydrated that when I went into get it one of the nurses went to the store and got me some pedialite and they made me stay there and drink 3 of them. I like how they care enough to do that, and I like that I can go back without waiting to get this done. I now have my sweet spot and have lost 35 lbs sence they took .5 cc's out. I learned a great lesson in two day's ( DON'T BE IN A HURRY) lol. Gratefull for banding in Traverse City Michigan. Luv ya all and God bless!!!!;)

I had my 10th fill yesterday--too early to know if it's working well this time. I now have 3.7 in my 4 cc band. I'm on mushies today and so had oatmeal for Breakfast. I ate about 3/4 c. and it went down fine after waiting after the first two bites (since they seemed problematic). Hope solids make a difference with this fill--I'll know more tomorrow.

I go next week for another fill. I'm at 3.5 and can still eat way to much. I really do want to get to the place where I only eat 1/2 cup like other do. I'm losing really slow also. I still feel hungry and I want to lose that feeling also. Glad to know that I'm not the only one that is over 3.5 on their 4cc band. I just want lose.

Well, no wonder I was getting so frustrated. I had lost .2 of my 3.0 fill so was at 2.8cc. Now I have a fill to 3.2. So let the weight loss begin.:clap2:

Just got back from the doctor, they added another .2 cc in my band I'm now at 3.7cc in my 4cc band. I hope this works. I had gain one pound this past 6 weeks. I hope I get to the place where I can only eat that magical 1/2 cup that see other talking about. On liquids for the next couple of days, hope all goes well.

We have the same fill now, Carol (and we were banded a day apart). I'm actually feeling good restriction and learning how not to PB--especially in the morning. I did eat a hot dog last night with some pears and cottage cheese and could finish all but one bite of the bun so I'm not sure I'm quite there but I'm really close so I'm very excited! Let those scales move--onederland, here I come. Good luck, Carol!

Does anyone have a answer for this. Why is it so different for so many people? Why do some people have restriction with 1 cc and why do some not get restriction till it filled full? I have tried to figure this out, but it just doesn's make any sense to me.

Thanks Momlambert, I hoping this one does the trick. Your on your way to onerland and I'm just green thinking about it. Congrats.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
