Hello :) I just wanted to know what to expect. I hear gas pains are the worse but what does it feel like? And how did your stomach area feel? Do not sugar coat anything please lol I just want to know ( I think ) and when did all the pain go away? I understand everyone is different so all input would be appreciated. Thank you :)

  • A lot really depends on the surgeon that you have. I know a lot of people complain of gas pains, however I had ZERO gas pains after surgery. My surgeon assured me up front that he works very had to

I have heard so many variations of post op stories. I think every one is so different, it's hard to predict. I also had zero gas pains and very little post op pain. I was sore, don't get me wrong, but

It sounds crazy but I had very little pain from surgery. I was sleeved two weeks ago by Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. No pain, other than the IV insertion and some sore tummy muscles. No nausea, very few gas pains from the gas used during surgery. I have felt amazing since I woke up. I had pain yesterday from my tummy not liking my BP meds. That was the worst I have hurt in this whole process.

the only real pain i had was the gas pain that settled in my upper left shoulder.

Darn that Gas Bubble! Its the worst when I hiccup.....sharp and shooting. Will someone tell me when it will end?

Pain was minimal for me. Turning over in bed was the worst of it. I had one incision that was tender for six to eight weeks, but nothing serious. I only took one pain pill at night and only for a week after being discharged. A heating pad on my tummy helped more than anything. I used it during the day when I was sitting around. Also, walk, walk, walk.....it helps!!
