Last Lane Bryant Purchase!

Recommended Posts

You are so right. I'm getting sleeved August 20. So soon! Lane Bryant' date=' the Avenue, Mavys Women. I love to shop, even in those stores. Every summer, hubby and I go to the outlets as a date day. Not this year. This is the first summer I have no interest in clothes shopping. Took my 17 year old daughter clothes shopping and thinking that next year I might be table to shop at american eagle too. Cannot wait to find my own skinny style!

I am new to this site and I'm getting sleeved on August 20th as well. Good luck Audrey!

Leaving Lane Bryant is a big milestone. I have gotten down to an XL shirt and size 18 pants and have been very excited to find that I can shop in other stores in the regular sections. Before my surgery' date=' I was wearing size 26 clothes.

I think that I lost the weight just in time! The Lane Bryant at my mall recently closed and is being remodeled into a Red Robin (burger joint).[/quote']

Hah. That is funny!!! Congrats on this milestone!! :)

That is awesome Audrey! I am getting sleeved at Lenox Hill on 8/20 as well. Dr. Yatco is my surgeon.

I am getting nervous too, but I'm more upset that i was never told I would need to quit smoking a month before surgery. I just found out last Thursday, and because of this, they want me to have my nicotine levels tested on Wed. I only smoke 5 cigarettes a day, and haven't smoked since last week, so I'm hoping it will be okay and the surgery date won't be affected.

But I didn't really get a chance to wrap my head/heart around not smoking. I was accepting of the not smoking post-op, but blindsided about not smoking before.

Aaaaaaggghhhhh, listen to me whining. You would think I smoked 5 packs a day rather than 5 cigarettes, lol.

I'm excited that we are having our surgeries done the same day, same hospital. I think I might go to the support group meeting this Thursday just to have some last minute questions answered.

I was able to walk in to target and jc penny in the last couple weeks and buy off the rack and the clothes fit. I almost cried. they were xl/16 which I have not seen since jr. high. I will keep the LB card until I can convince my sister to have surgery also. of course I did buy some cute clearance leopard print skinny jeans from LB today but in size 14... need something to loose into:).

Lane Bryant! Ha I wish. 30 days until surgery and I can't even fit lb!

Clothes too big or too small?

I'll keep my LB card. My 16 year step daughter, who has Asbergers, needs clothes from there.

Same day, same hospital, same doctor!!! It sucks that you didn't know about the smoking. It was in the paperwork we got I think.

There is a large group of us from a thread called "August sleevers,, where ya's at". We formed a secret Facebook page of the same name. Come on over and join the party.

I hope to go first. Yatco said 8:30 but still have to call hospital on Friday. Holy smokes. This Friday

I am so so happy to have a true sleeve sister. Perhaps we will meet.

Yay! Same day, same hospital, same doctor!

I only got the pre-op paperwork last Thursday. That was the first I saw about not smoking before surgery. The thing is, I was very upfront and honest with all of them about my smoking, but no one said anything until last Thursday. It's ok. I'm over it. But it was a bump in the road, that's for sure.

I will check out the August Sleevers group and figure out how to do it. I didn't link this account to Facebook because I want to keep these two separated.

My sister said to tell you that not only do you get a sleeve sister, but since I have 4 sisters, you have 5 new sisters! I do hope I get to meet you on 8/20!

I know a lot of plus sized stores go down to a 14W, but as soon as I can fit into an XL and an 18, I'm done shopping in those stores for forever. I'm so sick of not having the variety you get in the "regular" size sections of stores. I still have a ways to go since I'm in a 2X to 3X top and 24 bottoms, but I will get there eventually.

Fabulous. I might drag my hubby to the support meeting Thursday night. I live in south Queens, so it is a trip

I am honored to be your sisters sister. My sister will be there on 8/20 too. Her hubby is on staff at the hospital and promised to be close.

Go to the August sleevers where ya's at thread here and intro yourself. They will get you onto the Facebook page. It's private so anything we post there does not show up on our homepage.

That is SO one of my goals...to not have to shop in a store named after a woman (Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, Catherine's)! And to not have a "W" following the number in my clothes! @saraHR0...NY & Co is the #1 store I can't wait to shop in...

No more shopping at lane "giant". Cannot wait for that. Seriously. I just want to shop in the normal section for once. And have it be for me instead of for a gift for someone I know.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
